Questions & Answers
It will, in fact. The 45920 and 45900 are both in my possession.
It most certainly will. With the 2" 2 5/15" ball and the added pintle hitch, I'm happy with this set. It meets all of my needs. I work in the road construction industry, and our trailers vary depending on what you require, and this hitch meets all of your requirements. It's great that it's adjustable because it changes how the trailer pulls depending on how much weight it's carrying.
I believe the 45922 has a 2" ball, and I'm pretty sure this one does as well. 5/16" diameter ball
I've had the hitch for a few months and think it's great. I bought the pintle hitch adapter as well, and it meets all of my needs.

br>br>Be aware that the locking mechanism isn't adjustable and won't fit taller balls like the interchangeable type I already had. You *could* use an angle grinder to get the lock to work, but I'm guessing that isn't recommended by the manufacturer. I tried a friend's Bulldog pintle hitch, but I didn't care for the locking mechanism, so this one had to suffice. It's not a major issue. br>br>I use Bolt brand locking receiver pins to secure it to the Curt 45910 hitch, but you'll need to trim away a portion of the rubber boot on the front of the Bolt lock to allow it to fit the width of the channel mount. It's only a 3/16" difference, but it's the difference between using the Bolt lock and using a generic 5/8" receiver pin.
Like all of the curt products I've bought, it's of excellent quality. I just wish they'd make a proper pintle hook for channel mounting that didn't have the stupid ball. I'm in need of adjustment and despise plate-style risers, but these pintle/ball-style combo risers are perfect. Because the mounts allow for a little more slop, the pintle/lunette connection is a little louder than when a properly matched lunette/pintle is used.
The only reason I didn't give it a higher rating is because of the high price and lack of anti-virus protection. the sound of vibration I crammed a piece of rubber hose between the drop hitch and the ball mount, and it appears to be working, but it's a pain. It's way too loose if you don't do anything like that.
Rather than buying the kit, I saved $50 by purchasing the individual components.
The chain has a pin attached to it. This was purchased to use with my 2-inch adjustable curt hitch. It fits and functions perfectly with a 1/2" shank. You should not lose the chain because it is attached with a pin.
The ball appears to be of good quality, with a sturdy construction. For two months, I used it to transport a 185cfm compressor. This device functioned without a hitch.
Excellent product.
