The answer is yes, I think. Fits my 17 Alltrack, as well as the Mk 7 Golfs, and I'm pretty sure the Mk 6s are the same as well.
The thread pattern could be a clue, but I would certainly check it. We've had no problems with it on our 2016 Volkswagen GTI, so I would assume it will work.

During the process of screwing into the car, the screw broke. Using cast aluminum in this application would be a mistake.
