Questions & Answers

Can you tell me what torque should be applied to these nuts?

Instead of torqueing them, I just tightened them all the way as tight as I could and then took it for a five-hour ride with a load and it worked flawlessly

Could you please let me know if it will work with a 2" receiver with a 1" connection. How many bikes can you rack up?

It could be useful to have 2 x 25 = 25 I need an adapter for 00 dollars. Those things work very well, and it will work for you too.

What if it's installed on top of that?

In my case, I use it as It is the U-shaped It is pulled up and down by a bolt at the bottom of the receiver. As you suggested, if you invert it, many people might find the receiver hitch positioned on the top of the receiver. Because of this, the tongue would remain on the U-shaped track constantly If you loosen the bolt, you may experience the U-shaped curve To stretch until the load is resting on the receiver, tighten the bolt. In this case, usefulness was defeated since the receiver kept rattling around. I love mine because the trailer doesn't bounce around as much now that it has this attachment. As it is shown, it prevents the receiver hitch from bucking upward. He's very good at what he does.

Keeping it tight is important
4/5

Maintaining a tight seal is the key to keeping the stabilizer in place. Although I thought I tightly tightened the nuts after installation, I wasn't quite certain. When I checked the next time, I had just pulled our 27-page report It takes 450 miles to drive a 40-foot Airstream. It appears the nuts between the hitch and receiver had loosened considerably, causing the receiver and hitch to "play". It's that time of year again To test the torque, you must tighten the nuts to 75 ft-lb We checked the nuts again after pulling another 110 miles and they had loosened maybe a quarter It's that time of year again The bolt was torqued up to 75 ft-lbs A 440 mile haul was pulled on a load of 150 lbs. Only 1/8 of a turn has been removed from the nuts, according to a check. In the future, I will reapply Ensure that the nuts are torqued The following information is extremely important Neither I nor my professor have any idea how good the U-tube is If the bolts are steel, and if you need to tighten them to 75 feet-pounds There is a possibility that the bolt elastic limit may be exceeded. is a risk of eventual failure of the unit if the bolt elastic limit is exceeded. Your hitch or tow won't be put at risk if it fails. On the 75-foot line, I based my calculations It is important to point out that similar bolts on my Equilizer hitch specify 65 to 75 ft-lb of torque You must apply torque of lbs. If the manufacturer can provide a torque recommendation, it would be useful.

Has a kind of permanent nature, but it works
4/5

I was able to stop the rattle in my hitch with this. the "quick-" as it is called, has been designed to A quick connect button has been removed from my hitch A giant U-shaped clamp is clamped down on it The hitch needs two bolts for the pin to be accessed. If I switch the hitch, I have to use a wrench before I can even use the pin. If you wanted to switch hitch balls in the olden days (before square tube hitches), you had to unbolt the ball and bolt the new hitch ball You can have a different size bolted on I estimate that this work will take about as long There are no square tube hitches that do not rattle, so why aren't they made?.

This is a requirement for any trailer with cargo or a rack
5/5

I know if you use a hitch cargo rack, box, or rack frequently, you will be bothered by the clinking, clanking, and rattling those things cause while driving. The little stabilizer was sold at a hardware store for about $15. I recently returned from a four-day road trip with a cargo box, and it completely muted all the annoying noises I had become There are two things in particular to keep in mind Make sure the nuts are tightly tightened on both sides because I found that if you tighten one side before another it is hard to get the stabilizer fully engaged/tightened, and (2) that you You get it at the gas pump when you fill up with gas). When driving, I have noticed the nuts loosen, thereby reducing the sideways stability of the stabilizer. It might be possible to find some nyloc nuts to stop this, but I simply snugged the screws if they were.

This is a great deal
5/5

The system works as it should. This stabilizer is perfect for hitches. I had a great experience for the price. As far as I can tell, it performed flawlessly. It was purchased to serve as a stabilization device for my bicycle rack, which it did very well. On our road trip, I used a bike carrier with six bikes and it was super stable. If I were to buy it again, I would.

A good addition to my hitch mount cargo carrier
5/5

When on a beach trip, I was worried about rattles from the hitch mount carrier, so I bought this It was not my intention to carry without the stabilizer, but I didn't want to have to stop half way through if the stabilizer was attached. However, there was no rattling and I felt
I watched a video once before proceeding with the installation just to make sure I had done it correctly. There was some loosening at the end of the trip, just a few snags that I attribute to me manually tightening the buckle. The need for a ratchet wrench was evident as quite a bit of work was necessary to tighten with a regular wrench.

I was having trouble with my trailer In spite of the fact that my receiver isn't very tight, my 16' trainer bucks a lot
5/5

I would not be able to move my vehicle if it were that much, but it is very This is a product I bought to see what it would do and I have been The last thing I would have wanted was this when I was younger! There was a truck overloaded with tree trunks that I was sure weighed at least 4,000 pounds and probably overloaded to the brim. I did not move on the way there with nothing, and I did not move on the way home with nothing either. Exactly what I was thinking! Any wearer of a receiver would find it highly beneficial.

I didn't expect it to be as good as it was
3/5

Additionally, I have two other stabilizers that utilize a bolt and nut inside the hitch receiver. The hitch I had been using felt just as good as the other, if not better, but after installing it, I could wiggle it back and forth. I thought this would work better than the bolt style (which works really well), but I was wrong. Maybe the latch style has something to do with it, however. Even after trying different ways to install it, it still did not As I want to keep the receiver from moving, not just eliminate rattling, I have a high standard. The build quality is fantastic, and the receiver itself is really sturdy, but a present does not seem like the right solution to my dilemma.

This approach did not work, so we had to adjust it
3/5

There is more to a sentence than just a single word I was not able to use this stabilizer because it As a result, I had to weld a metal plate to the black piece to make it longer. I thought I'd share my experience in case others have the same or similar car model and experience the same problem. The credits belong to the welder, but I made the mistake of ignoring the welder's credit. I'll give this a two star rating for not being completely useless and for the possibility of making something useful As a result, I have attached a video that contains three separate clips of me driving through different environments at different speeds. This clip is the first one A 74 mph speed limit is posted on the highway. The second clip is as follows Come to a halt once you get off the freeway. In the third clip, you will see I hit a speed bump on my way to work.
