I'm not sure, but it seems like it should go in the description section.
It's a steel that has been hardened. I have a weighted receiver and a Class IV receiver. distributing hitch with a weight capacity of 10,000 lbs. , and those types of weights will have no effect on this pin. In fact, it appears to be a far superior steel to the common non-alloy steel. versions that can be locked With most common cargo and RV trailers, I don't think you'd have any problems.
Without a doubt. This is a very sturdy device.
To ensure locking security, the lock with a code is unique for only one lock. We regret that we are unable to sell individual keys.

It looked exactly like the name brands, and it worked perfectly the first two times I used it. However, when I tried to remove it to take the truck through a car wash, the key turned fine, but the lock was welded to the pin. Normally, the lock portion of the pin spins freely, but this one had completely seized up and refused to come off or rotate. I tried rotating it with 18" piers on the lock and pin, but it wouldn't budge. Not the small amount of money wasted, but having to cut it off was the main source of frustration. Spend a little more and get a better brand, which is exactly what I'm going to do because I don't want to replace it because if it fails, it'll be a major hassle and inconvenient to say the least. I have several others that look the same but are from different companies that I've had for years, left on over the winter, etc. with no problems.
It works great if you're just using it to keep a hitch from being stolen around town, but once you get off the pavement, it's a gonner for you and your hitch:.
locking! I've got another locking pin, and re-locking it will take three hands. Lock it by turning the key (it's a round lock, not rectangular like this one), holding the hitch pin, and then pushing the lock back on. This is an excellent example. You can put your key in your pocket once it's been unlocked, and when it's time to re-lock it, you can do so. When you lock it, the hitch pin snaps back into place. Very well-crafted; The lock and assembly are excellent. In addition, the grime cover that protects the keyhole is more durable and stays in place. (With the other brand, it came off after a few trips. ).
Locks are nothing more than visual distractions. It appears to be a challenging task. That isn't the case. You cannot complain at this price. This is the second of two orders I've placed. I wish the lock's body wasn't made of aluminum. It's a good combination of fit and functionality.
The only drawback is that you must double-check that the lock is fully engaged, in other words, yank it to ensure that it is securely locked. Otherwise, it's an excellent product.
This is easily removed with a sawzall, but then again, so is your tire. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA However, if you want to keep ownership of your hitch, it's a good investment. Without it, I'll be here today and gone tomorrow. This makes me happy.
Ordered a similar product, but the shaft was too short for the lock to engage. This one was just right in terms of length.
Remove the cover, insert the key, remove the end, and pull out the key. Return the rubber cover to its original position. When you're ready to install the hitch head in the receiver, I simply push the end of the pin back into place, and it's locked in place. I've had similar locks that required a lot of fiddling with the key to re-lock. I've used it a few times now, and it always unlocks smoothly with no grinding.
