Sorry, no measurements have ever been taken. I've had a lot of practice with them and have had a lot of experience with them.
It uncoils to fit my Blue Ox fully extended with 2 feet to spare, and the coil prevents the Blue Ox from dragging. When it's hooked up, there's a rubber lock that goes over the end to keep it secure, and it works fine.
I didn't stretch them out for measurement purposes, but a tow bar broke, and the cables kept my 2013 Honda CR-V from rolling away. preventing V from escaping from my motorhome Stretching out might reach 8 feet, if I had to guess. I had a great time.

I've found that these tow cables are the most user-friendly safety connection between the towed and tow vehicle. There are two versions available. The one shown is for weights of less than 7000 pounds, but there is a heavier version with metal retainer clips instead of rubber if you prefer. The fact that they are permanently coiled keeps them off the ground makes them very convenient to use. I used tie wraps to keep the cables crossed beneath the hitch and near the tow bar's ends. The ends of the tow cable are already in place when I connect the tow bar to the towed vehicle, so all I have to do is hook them into the socket. There'll be no more rummaging under the car for a slack chain. WARNING: THIS CONTENT CONTAINS EXTREMELY SEXUAL MATERIAL. Make sure the cables aren't laying directly beneath the hitch's lowest point. I wasn't paying attention, and as I climbed an incline, the hitch slid across the pavement, trapping the cable between the hitch and the pavement. It broke the cable, so I had to order a new one.
Our Blue- 10,000 pounds of ox After being pinched between a steep driveway and the ground, lb safety cables were severely damaged. I placed an order for this set right away and had it delivered to the next campground we'd be visiting. I like how much easier these cables are to manage. 10,000-square-foot building I didn't need the capacity for our 3,600-pound cable because it was too cumbersome to handle. lb toad.
Dinghy towing necessitates the use of these cables. I considered a less expensive option, but I preferred the security of a brand name. These cables are extremely well made and stretch easily to fit my setup, which includes a drop adapter. In the unlikely event that they are ever needed, I have no doubt they will perform admirably.
I had a pair of these before, but going over certain angle driveways caused the hitch to drag into the pavement, ripping the hitch and tow bars apart. I purchased a roller to help absorb the blows, and it has proven to be extremely effective. The chewed-up cables will be replaced with these.
Best decision I've ever made! The locking clips are far superior to the rubber keepers that I previously used. Although I know this is an exaggeration, it appears that hooking up the car now takes 5 minutes less time. But it appears to be the case!.
I like how this model has easy-to-open and close "clips" instead of the rubber pieces that must be slid up and down the hook to secure and release it.
This is a set of spare parts. I was a little wary of them at first because they are about 6 inches shorter when extended and have a smaller diameter coil than the original set, but they actually work better because they don't get stuck between the tow-bar and the tow-bar. The road and a bar.
These safety cords are fantastic. The snap-on feature, in particular, is a plus. My previous ones had rubber keepers that were difficult to remove. These aren't overly coiled and aren't overly long. I wish I had gotten them a long time ago. This is an excellent product.
