For the past 15 years, I've worked as a High Line auto detailer. Simply put, I work on exotic and vintage automobiles. These are the pads I always use, with the exception of the occasional use of a wool pad and rotary on a severely neglected classic car or grabbing a microfiber cutting pad for a hard ceramic clear coat on something like a Mercedes. Over the years, I've acquired quite a few of these. I like the density of the foam, and the holes really do hold and distribute product, making these a great choice. I even use the polishing pad on a rotary for ultra soft paints like Nissan or BMW black paints.
Our HDO pads are a great choice. They're designed specifically for polishers with long throws.
I've never used 3D Speed, but I do final waxing with these black pads. They have a very gentle feel to them. I don't see why you couldn't use them with a polishing compound, but I've had good luck using the orange pads with polish and/or cutting compound when trying to correct a defect. This pad could be used, but it will cut very slowly (which is probably a good thing if you don't want to abrade your paint to fix a defect).
Yes, either our orange light cutting pad or our white light polishing pad will do the trick. If you prefer a lighter cutting pad, the white polishing pad is a good choice. Both pads perform admirably.

Lake Country pads are made in the United States of America and are of high quality. Don't be stingy with the paint touch-ups! Before you leave a one-star review, go to YouTube and learn how to use them properly. Also, invest in high-quality polishes. 3D polishing compounds are a great option to consider.
The 205 will get rid of minor blemishes. The wax will polish the surface. I polish with a porter cable orbital polisher (you can use any brand). the pads that follow To do the 205, start with the orange and wipe it off with a rag, then wax with the white and buff with the black. After that, use a towel to wipe it away. There is no need to exert any pressure; simply go at your own pace.
In the past, I've used chemical guys hex logic, which was mostly garbage and resulted in induced pigtails. I used this brand pad for the first time on my hood yesterday, and I was blown away by the quality of the finish and the short amount of time it took to work. This book comes highly recommended. From now on, these will be my go-to pads for polishing and compounding.
I can polish two or three cars before the pad becomes too worn and I risk marring the paint. When used in conjunction with Meguiars 105, it provides a good amount of cut and, unless the paint is too soft, usually results in a swirl-free finish. They are difficult to clean, which I believe is a good thing because it means they effectively trap residue.
This was my second time ordering from Lake Country. Their pads are of excellent quality and are among the best on the market, in my opinion. The shipping was extremely quick, and the company is based in the United States. What is it about Lake Country that you don't like? I'm a loyal repeat customer who will continue to be so. Trucks get three points. Use chemical brothers 38 and their pad conditioner as a finishing pad to make your car shine. beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
The pad ripped off the velcro using the orange pad halfway through the sides of a 21' boat. For the rest of the job, I switched to the white pad, and by the end of it, that one was ripping off the velcro as well. Future orders will be placed with a different manufacturer.
