On an old stainless steel sink, I used the red pad to clean mineral deposits and scratches. Always rub the grain in the same direction. Following that, I polished with the grey pad. The sink appears to be in excellent condition. I also used the red pad to remove paint from a plastic folding table that had been sprayed. The table now appears to be brand new, with no signs of paint. I also used the red pad to scrub calcium buildup from a toilet bowl. I've kept these pads in my cleaning cabinet ever since I discovered them a few years ago. I recently moved into an older home that requires a lot of scrubbing and renewal. These are highly recommended!.
This product was purchased in order to restore the "brushed" appearance of my brushed stainless steel range. My range, backsplash/shelf, and hood all look great after an hour or two of work (watch a youtube video). If the scratch is deep enough to catch your thumbnail as you pass over it, you may need to use a different product. I was able to shave off burnt-on bits near the burners with the help of the bonus razor blades. Now all I need is something to put on the stovetop grates.
Excellent pads for renewing stainless steel; simply use them in the direction of the grain to avoid scratches. It may result in an area that is smoother and slightly different from the rest of your stainless steel piece, necessitating the shipment of the entire piece. We sanded the top edge of our Wolf Range abs and they came out looking fantastic.
They did an excellent job of polishing my stainless steel muffler. br>The trick is to use them with cleaner wax, which cuts right through the tarnish and makes it seem as if it never existed. br>While red was too harsh for the muffler, it cut right through on the pipes. When they resemble, well, old exhaust pipes, it might be possible to make them shine. br>The white ones were intended for polishing and performed admirably. After that, the Griot used an orbital buffer and metal polish to make everything look as if it were made of glass. The bare aluminum wheels as well as the stainless muffler appear to be brand new. br>It was a lot of fun!!.
The 3M Scotch Brite Scuff Pads Very Fine pads are excellent for removing old gasket material from metal. The metal is now ready for degreasing and new gaskets after being cleaned with 3M pads. Because the pads are thicker and conform to the metal surface, they are more user-friendly than emery cloth. They cleaned the oil pan and block, as well as the head's camshaft frame and pipe-hose surfaces, while I was rebuilding a Subaru engine.
Turning 6 metal paint scrapers into knubs every week is revolting, to say nothing of the cost. Even with the high-end "value" bundles. The scrapers' flimsy steel isn't up to the task. I knew I must have been blessed by God when I discovered these! You'll be smiling all night long because of the durability. So what if it removes some skin? This is exactly what I was looking for. 🥰.
This is fantastic. I bought it to clean the valve cover gasket, the cylinder head, and the valve cover's mating surfaces. It was a huge success. Because the surfaces weren't too gummed up or dirty, I mostly used the grey fine pads. I also cleaned our metal stove with the grey pad. With the pad and some bar stool cleaner, years of buildup was removed. It worked great and didn't leave any scuff marks on the surface like I had feared. I would strongly suggest it.
Stainless steel appliances and a range hood were scratched, so these pads were used to remove them. I must emphasize that it should be sanded with a block to ensure even sanding and that it should be done WITH the stainless steel grain. Even a small amount of "against the grain" sand will leave scratches that are difficult to remove. I was able to restore my stainless steel to nearly new condition.
