Removes dead paint by cutting right through it

In terms of deep cuts, this compound is effective. This pad was put on a DA buffer with an aggressive 5"pad. As opposed to other 3M products, this one does exactly what it is supposed to do without leaving a sticky film. Glad to hear that. My mother sold her 17 year old SUV to me last year after deciding it was time to hang up the keys. I found the maroon vehicle a bit chalky when we first saw it, but after 2 visits it was clear Within three hours, the surface looks glossy and rich once more. My recommendation for this compound is a definite yes!.

I like this product, it is easy to use

My wife's bumper cover was painted, so I used this with a buffer to remove the paint. As soon as I scraped off much of the paint from a painted wooden fence post (oops), the color you see on the bumper cover remained. There does not seem to be any effect on the clear coat. You've got some good stuff there. This is an excellent book.

Application is easy and it cuts paint pretty well, it revived the faded paint on my RV, don't know if it would be as effective on more severe paint damage, but I am happy with the results.
