Actually, in regards to "EX" or "AC", I have no idea what either of them It's exactly what I know it is a 3M rubbing compound. For me, that was good enough. Rubbing compound of the highest quality
5/5

It would be useful to my relative if he could remove some nasty scratches on his paint with this. Having used this compound as well as the polish 06068 and polish 06094 and the finish polish 06094, he ended up with paint that was almost mirror-like. It is time-consuming to use all 3 products, but it was worth it for the results. The local store was willing to accept $900 for it. It didn't make sense to spend over $10000 on a vehicle which would be driven every day. Because this is an everyday vehicle, it makes no sense to pay that much Therefore, it would be brought by and we would do the work It was so simple, he was able to do it all by himself. The first time he had ever used it, it was so effortless and easy. It can happen on any car, even black ones.

Resulted in a fantastic repair for my bicycle after it had been damaged by poor paintwork
5/5

3M Perfect-It rubbing compound worked wonders repairing a botched paint repair on my Trek Emonda ALR -- I was able to remove the paint quickly and, most importantly, safely. It is a factory that is perfect - I enjoyed finishing it, and I was delighted to find that it was far easier than I had anticipated. I made the careless mistake of leaving a wheel in the trunk of my car when I was going to pick up my bicycle, and the spoke on the wheel ended up scraping off some paint from my bike at the point of contact, Also, there were some other things that didn't work Marks on the frame from deep scrapes. The paint scrape on my bike was deep enough for the aluminum to show through, which did not bode well for the bike. The option of ignoring it was out of the question because (a) it was ugly, and (b) the exposed aluminum might I have a black pearl paint finish on my bike A subtle tint of black with a classically elegant appearance. To get a touch-up paint job, I stopped by the Honda dealer This is the fix-up kit they sell for their "black pearl" finish (not exactly the same, A paint kit and a clear coat are included in the kit. As I had painted my own cars before, I was confident that I knew how to do it. As soon as I applied the touch-ups Originally, I had painted up to the paint chip and scrape marks, but then I erred by applying the clear coat as well. The clear cost was definitely a dumb decision for Honda to include in the kit (Honda should probably have left that out). Due to the uneven and quite thin layer of clear coat applied by the clear coat application tool, the result looked bad. In my attempt to improve the outcome, I added more clear coat, but it only made it As a result, I had a terribly looking bumpy finish, which was almost one inch thick. Having a length of 5 inches by a width of On the frame, the picture is 25 inches wide. As a contrast to the factory-made, smooth surface, this bumpy patch looked disgusting under the sun. It is surrounded by a flawless paint finish. An amateurish mistake like this could cause me to die instead of riding my bike with this defected paint job on it. It took me several hours to recover from my devastation. However, I used the internet to find out what fixes there were for such paint job mistakes. Orange peel is what we call these bumpy uneven surfaces in the auto finishing business, and they are the result of uneven paint application and/or clear coat application (which I have). To repair orange peel, it is recommended you use a rubbing compound, such as 3M Perfect-It, to take away the bumps, and then you should apply a polishing compound after that to restore the shine. I found this 3M Perfect-It rubbing compound on Amazon at a reasonable price and with same-day shipping This was a brand new idea to me, so I tried it out. Those would have been the only other options What do you think I should do(a) to pay much more to have someone fix it for me (but I A) or (b) throw away this ugly bike with a bad paint job. On that evening, I picked up a rubbing compound from an Amazon locker and watched a couple of videos on youtube demonstrating how to use a power rotary polisher to apply it to The area I needed to work with was small, so I chose to apply the compound by hand. A search on the Internet revealed it is possible to apply the compound by hand, but there was no indication of how difficult it would be Despite my reluctance to do it, I decided to do it. As I rubbed the orange peel with a microfiber cloth, I put a small dab of the rubbing compound on the cloth. A paste made with fine glass particles P1200 (like a 800 grit sand paper) didn't feel gritty on my fingers even though the powder contained fine glass particles. After applying the compound to the orange peel repeatedly, I went in different directions to apply more compound where necessary. It took some time for the results to become apparent. However, with time the orange peel began to come off more and more. It took about 20 minutes to use two tablespoons of the compound to reach a really smooth surface using repeated rubbing. There was no risk of taking off too much paint with the rubbing compound because it removed barely noticeable amounts of paint with each pass. Yet, it was quite effective at smoothing out the paint when using the rubbing compound. 3M's rubbing compound did the job for which it was designed, in an impressively easy and seamless way, to provide an almost perfect finish that was far beyond my expectations. I wiped the area with a clean cloth and examined the finish at the end of my work, after about 30 minutes. There was almost no difference between the orange peel paint job and the rest of the bike's paint job. The final result was a super smooth finish, and looking at the orange peel area under various angles, I could hardly see a bump When comparing the outcome to the ugly orange peel from before, I thought the result was nothing short of astounding. Even though I applied polishing compound, I didn't need it. I was pleased with how the finish turned out. I was amazed at how effective this product was, and how simple the process went, and how little effort it took to do the job. With such little effort, I achieved an outcome I never even thought would be possible if I had tried it myself. My other bikes will now be fixed as well because I am going to use this on all the scratches and scrapes. It would be a wonderful thing if I could start a bike detailing business to help people, like myself, who don't know how to patch their bikes' paint finishes.

I am very pleased with the It will be impossible for me to describe how happy In an area of about a square foot on the hood, I used a sanding disk when I should not have

I tried Meguiar's heavy cut compound, as well as another suggested brand, without any luck. We learned about the Perfect-it line of products by 3M and then decided to give it a try. I am very pleased with the By using a Porter Cable 742XP, we were able to remove every trace of scratch. The machine that I own is great. Have been using 3M products for years, and this is one of my favorites. Though more expensive, this is well worth the investment.

When it comes to compounds and finishes, 3M is dynamite
5/5

The hood of my Honda Element was extremely oxidized. I used its products at my dad's Chevy dealership when I was younger to polish cars and 3M has come a long way, they've always had great products but they've definitely improved them over the last This is definitely something I recommend. Three buffings took care of that nice shine on my Honda Element's hood. It took that many times to get it back to its previous condition. Thank you for making great products like these, 3M. It worked very well and I would definitely recommend it again.

That's all there is to it

This product does a great job removing I used this product to remove minor scratches from my daughter's car with no problems. It helped me cut the clear and it removed it smoothly. If you keep the buffer moving and use it at a lower speed, you won't have any problems. It is recommended that you use 3M products to assist with paint issues. I have been going the cheap route. The 32oz bottle will be my next purchase, now that I know it works.

This is a great tool to use This is a great tool to use Micro scratches can be easily removed, and small scratches can be removed with a little more time
5/5

As in comparison to the old 3M scratch remover, it is also very very easy to wipe off. *Please note There is a small amount of hazing on the clear coat when it is applied. If you want a stunning shine afterwards, you will certainly need polish.

It is an amazing compound for plastics
5/5

I'm amazed at how magical this stuff is. It's really incredible after I used it to remove scratches and gouges from an acrylic bathtub with deep scratches that I thought was never going to shine. After wet sanding with 2000, 2500, and 3000 sandpaper, I didn't know Having researched various plastic polishes, I made the most informed decision and purchased the one I believed in the most. With a little bit of compound on a soft foam pad, I was able to remove ALL scratch marks and restore the surface's shine! Additionally, it turned the plastic out not to be too slippery when walking on it. Looks like it just came out of the store. I did have to put in some effort to get the result I wanted, but I am so pleased with how it turned out. As soon as I get my hands on it, I'll have it on my car headlights and anything else I can.

This product works great, although you'll find that an electric buffer, as opposed to hand buffing, will yield much better results than rubbing a compound by hand
5/5

The 3M quick-release tape I use is To begin, there was a launch of white foam compounding pads and Perfect-It EX compound, followed by the release of the 3M blue ultra-fine compound A fine foam pad with a machine polish that is ultrafine. When I use the blue combo, I am always able to achieve a mirror finish on my motorcycles and cars, removing all swirl marks, holograms, etc. that are left behind with other rubbing compounds. You're out of luck with the intermediate compound and black pads, both of which are completely.
