Questions & Answers

What does it mean when it says this product comes in a 6 pack? Could you please tell me if this is quantity 6?

At the time of posting it came in a 6 pack *br>it was intended for auto body shops that kept this around. Look at the price to see what you're getting *br>it is about 35-$40. Quite a price for a bottle of 45, and a huge size

Could I use a DA polisher for this?

You asked a great question. Thank you so much! If you're buffing 3M 06068 Perfect-It EX Ultrafine Machine Polish in a 2' X 2' area at speeds between 1,600 - 2,000 rpm, this product will be most effective The revolutions per minute are 1,800.

Do you know of anyone who has used it on lacquer?

Lacquer responds very well to this product. To polish lacquer, I use the soft (yellow) 3M polishing pad instead of the foam pad I use for basecoat. Take the time to carefully follow the directions. Rather than polishing off the residue, you let it stay. Once it has dried, rub it off.

We apologize for the extremely slow response to your question because it was one of those emails that got lost in the internet blackhole and was only found after a very long time
3/5

Holes cost money. You can use this on polishing pads and wheels, according to your question. On the clear plastic and some precious metals, I used various 3M automotive products. There is a label on the pads and wheels reminding me to use only that tool with these particular pads and wheels. The perfect-it medium rubbing compound, fine and ultrafine product lines are what I prefer to use when buffing jewelry. I prefer to use the red or white buffing stick compounds on a bench top or on a Dremel tool with many buffing wheels. Please accept my sincere apologies for the late response and I hope this will be of assistance to you in the future, Nelson.

There was a watering down of the proposal
5/5

During the course of this review, I will discuss the specific product I received. I am a professional detailer with over 15 years experience and have been using 3M as well as other quality detailing products for over a decade. As such, 3M Ultrafine polish (06068) is an excellent product, and I plan to continue to use it by using another In the bottle that I received, the contents were very In my opinion, the blue liquid was watered down to the point that it resembled an oily blue glass of water with plenty of fizzy bubbles from shaking it before it solidified. This has never happened to me with any polish or compound that I have purchased locally or through an online supplier, so I believe that the product was diluted.

I love this stuff so much
5/5

Since I have used this on 4 different vehicles so far, I can truly say that this product is extraordinary! It's better than chemical guys and Griots stuff for me personally. I used to use one of those on a regular basis and I used to have some Griotts stuff as well. I was astonished by how clean and shiny the paint is after using this. There is no dust whatsoever. Generally, with the aforementioned products, I would need to hit the panels twice to produce the same effect, but with this I only had to hit the panels once. This is awesome. I will be It was a challenge getting the picture to look right for some reason, so it is oriented in the wrong direction.

I thought the price was fair for this product
5/5

Thanks so much. I thought the price was fair for this product. Designed to remove the fine sanding marks left over from factory machine polishing, this product is part of the third step in 3M's automotive color sanding and buffing process. It is the (white cap) compound in step 1, and the black compound in step 2. In this step three, customers that want their new vehicles, as well as newly finished clearcoats, to look better than they did when they left the Unless they have some other reason to use the first two, they should be happy with that. Car detailers use the first two to remove orange peel and other For those that want high end finishes on their cars, this polish is for them. Although a machine polisher is helpful, even so, it is quite a lot of work. It's not worth the effort to do this.

As well as keeping my paint clean from I thought it did a great job protecting my paint
5/5

It is well worth the money. The black car rule applies only if you have one. During a 7 hour polishing job with this product, I realized how many swirl marks I had accrued over the years. Now those swirl marks are gone. I am a huge fan of liquid glass for my car and thought it did a great job protecting my paint from dust. (After sanding) All the scratches have been removed. A new set of headlights has been installed. One word of advice. Do not skip to this product without using #1 and #2 first. absolutely necessary for this application to be performed before the use of #2 due to its surface preparation capabilities. If you do not add it, you will still see swirl marks and you will not be happy with the results I assure Following are the steps you need to take to be happy.

Wash your Use a rotary tool with a matching white foam pad. Using product #1 and following the instructions on the bottle, thoroughly clean the clay bars. Scrub carefully, getting every nook and cranny. It is very important to follow the directions carefully to get the best results. Make sure that the led flashlight is on while you wipe with microfiber. There should be no streaks on the Feedback will be oily, but that is the finish, and we will deal with it The following two choices are available The polymer coating was added to the car or I used paste wax for a better adhesion to the car's surface. I washed the car again because I believed the polymer would adhere better Around the whole house I applied polymer wax from 3M. Once it has dried, paste wax on it. It is all thanks to paste and foam applicator #3 that my black paint is as clean as I have ever seen it. We will be discussing the silver car next week, and I'm confident that #1 + 2 will be sufficient. Take a moment to read the instructions on the If you don't spend time and money, you're wasting both of them. Take a look.

Vendors that offer tool deals are the best place to purchase it
5/5

That's great! I love it. Some people complain about the watered down version of theirs I purchased mine from the tool deals vendor on here, and it is I was very happy with this product! used scratch remover on my black truck and it left some haze and scuffing, so I used this to get rid of it. My skeptical mind did not know why I was spending so much of my time and money on something I wasn't certain would be successful. It should also be noted that I cleaned it by hand with a microfiber The issue has been resolved.

I am very pleased with this product
5/5

There's no doubt about it! This is the real deal! There is only one company that can do it like 3M. In the end, after trying your hardest to put on a perfectly glossy polish, you stand back and see swirl marks adorning all of your car's surfaces. You need to resort to a quality product when the situation arises. I use 3M's Compound, to light compound, to polish, and then finish with this product. Gloss as smooth as silk. Then adjust the speed of your high RPM machine polisher (not a buffer) gradually from low to high RPM with a little bit of product applied with a clean sponge. You will create the same polish disaster you have become accustomed to if you fail to follow the instructions. The result will be amazing if you apply the polish judiciously within a 2 x 2 area and keep the polish light.
