Questions & Answers

Is Liqui Teck like Liqui Glass in that it leaves a white residue? I've been using Liqui Glass since 1978. ?

1978! That's what I'm talking about when it comes to customer retention. ) br>While we don't know how LG worked, the polymer carrier in Finish First polish does leave a small amount of residue after the product chemically bonds to the clear coat or painted surface. The amount of residue left depends on how "heavily" the product is applied, but it is minimal and easy to remove if done correctly. br>If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time!br>1- 800- 637- 4527br>By the way, if you enjoyed LG, you'll enjoy Finish First!

Do you allow this to haze? Is it suitable for vehicles with dark colors?

The polymer bonds to the clear coat or painted surface during the drying time, or "hazing." We recommend applying a thin, even coat and waiting 60 minutes for the product to cure before buffing it off. br>br>The product works well on white cars, but it will also give dark colored cars a "mile deep" shine! br>br>If you have any questions, please contact us at any time.br>br>1- 800- 637- 4527

I'm not sure what I'm doing incorrectly. It's been extremely difficult to buff out both times I've used it. ?

What does this have in common with Liquid Glass?

Because I am unfamiliar with Liquid Glass's product line, I cannot comment on its physical properties; however, I can tell you that Finish First polish is a synthetic polymer that works by laying down a tough polymer film that protects the paint/clear coat from air and water. contaminants that are carried in the air The synthetic polymer coating is extremely durable and weather resistant, and it is made with synthetic resin stocks rather than traditional organic wax compounds, which allows curing rather than hard drying. Our chemical resins cure to form an exceptional sun block that repels over 97 percent of UV rays. 8% of the harmful ultra-violet radiation radiation radiation radiation radiation% The sun is violet violet. Additional layers of polish can be added to increase protection and enhance gloss depth. I KNOW this isn't Liquid Glass
3/5

This. The tried-and-true LIQUID GLASS was replaced by this product. It lacks the lustre and radiance that LG provided us with. After applying it with an electric buffer, it wants to stay sticky and not buff off. In comparison to LG's tan cream, it has a sickly green appearance. br>I squandered (but learned) my money on this product and will not buy it again.

It appears that the paint is brand new
5/5

I've been using "liquid glass" auto polish exclusively for over 25 years, and the results have been fantastic. Friends and car dealerships have always remarked that the paint on my vehicles looks as good as new, despite the fact that they've been driven for many years. When I went online to order a couple of cans a few weeks ago, I discovered that a product called Finish First is the successor to my favorite brand, and that it provides the same exceptional protection and appearance to my vehicle's paint. Although the name is different, the ingredients are of the same high quality!.

New Showroom - Compatible with Liquid Glass
5/5

I applied one coat of Liquid Glass to my SL550 and then realized I didn't have enough to apply another coat. When I returned to Amazon, Liquid Glass was no longer available; I attempted to contact the manufacturer, but the phone number was disconnected. ugg. I decided to give Liquid Tech a try after reading a few Amazon reviews. Can be identical in appearance, color, and odor. Over my Liquid Glass finish, apply this product. With multiple coats of Liquid Glass, it went on thicker, looked the same, and gave that awesome 3D depth I'd always enjoyed. br>This is the product to use if you want to apply multiple coats and have them look better than "showroom" new!.

Liquid Glass was an excellent product, and it was the best of its kind; a little on the pricey side; At an auto parts store, it's typically hidden behind the counter
5/5

Applying and removing it is a breeze. a long-lasting high gloss Simply the best. br>On my 2007 Miata, I tried its successor, Finish First, yesterday and found a worthy replacement for Liquid Glass. The old lady has regained her radiance! There doesn't seem to be much of a difference between Liquid Glass and Finish First, which is a good thing. For a reasonable price, a high-quality product is provided.

Finish First isn't quite as good as Liquid Glass, but it's a close second
5/5

For years, many of us who love cars and car shows have relied on Liquid Glass. Liquid Glass has been a part of my life for over 30 years. When Liquid Glass went out of business in 2018, many people were disappointed. What are you currently using? I decided to test out two products after doing a lot of research. For those who don't know, MPT used to be a part of Liquid Glass, and their Classic Polish is probably the closest you'll get. The consistency is a little more watery, and the coloring is a little more yellow than blue, but I couldn't tell the difference. It applies, smells, and comes off in the same way, and the layers shine in the same way. I haven't used it in a few months, so I can't say how long it will last, but as far as I can tell, MPT Classic Polish is a perfect substitute for Liquid Glass. It cleans tar and bug residue as it goes on, and tar and bugs wipe right off once it's applied. You'll understand what I'm talking about if you've ever used Liquid Glass. I had a can of Liquid Glass in my garage when I took the photo I provided. It is brand new. This is my final one. When I first got the Charger, I opened it up and painted it with 7 coats of Liquid Glass. The Jeep was then used as a test bed for the MPT and Finish First, with 7 coats of MPT applied forward of and including the front doors and 7 coats of Finish First applied to the rear and including the back doors. The Jeep is about 4 years old and has close to 90K miles on it. Finish First appears to be the preferred method of replacing Liquid Glass by a large number of people. Finish First comes in the same type of can as Liquid Glass and has a Corvette on the front, which was the only reason I could come up with. That's all well and good, but it doesn't make Liquid Glass obsolete. It was a competitor of Liquid Glass for a while, having been released in the 1990s, but it is still a good product. It is blue, like Liquid Glass, but slightly darker and thicker in texture. It has a similar application and appearance. Finish First comes out of the gate with a great shine and may slightly deepen after 1-coat, whereas Liquid Glass (and MPT Classic) tend to deepen the shine with each subsequent coat. After two applications, it doesn't appear to be getting any deeper. (It's not as if it's required. ) It has a fantastic gleam that provides exceptional clarity). During application, it doesn't work as well at cleaning stubborn tar and bugs, but it will clean them if you rub a little harder. I'm still weighing the pros and cons of durability. To be honest, it's matched the MPT I've done so far point for point. When used in the same way as Liquid Glass, it sheds bugs and tar. Since Liquid Glass is no longer available, I believe either product is a good substitute. I thought the MPT product was nearly identical (especially after applying Liquid Glass and comparing the two products side by side), so it gets a thumbs up from me. If, like me, you're looking for a replacement for the now-unobtainable Liquid Glass, either product will, in my opinion, meet your expectations. Now, please tell me what I can use to replace my Liquid Glass leather cleaner and conditioner, which I no longer have access to!.

Liquid Glass is not required
5/5

Liquid Glass is something I've been using for quite some time. When I went to reorder, I was surprised to find that one of the last cans or the Hope Diamond were still available. Finish First was reluctantly given a chance! What's the deal with Liquid Glass? This stuff reminds me of Liguid Glass in terms of appearance and smell. I'm pretty sure I went through 8-packs of cigarettes over the years. I've tried ten cans and can't tell the difference between it and Finish First, and applying Finish First doesn't require removing Liquid Glass. Maybe not quite as good as, but pretty close, and that's plenty good enough.

For paint and mirrors, it's very similar to Liquid Glass, but it's not for windows! I'd been using Liquid Glass for years but couldn't find it anywhere anymore, so I needed a replacement
5/5

On paint, the Finish First is just as good as the LG; however, I don't recommend using it on glass! Yes, there are mirrors, but no, there aren't any windows! It leaves a streaky appearance, but I was able to clean them a couple of times and they were back to normal. Overall, I like how smooth and deep the shine is, as well as how easy it is to apply it.
