They wouldn't budge with any of the traditional bathroom cleaners. It's very frustrating to see them like that and feel helpless to do anything about it - I truly believed the faucets had been ruined. I went online once more in search of the ideal product, and I came across a Houzz Q. Semichrome polish was recommended by a faucet manufacturer, according to A. br>br>I'm overjoyed with the end result! br>br>I polished in the following manner: br>1) a microfiber cloth was used 2) For the small crevices, I found that lightly touching my microfiber cloth to the tube, using only a smidge of product, shaping the cloth to the area, and rubbing/polishing it gave me the best results. br>3) For each new section, frequently change the area of the cloth and repeat. br>br>I can't say enough good things about this book. And the tarnish marks in my photo weren't the worst of the ones removed; it was just that I remembered to take a picture at the time.
Since 1992, when my wife gave it to me, I've worn it as a good luck charm. It was made of sterling silver that never tarnishes. Then I went out and bought some Selsun Medicated Shampoo, which I used for two days while showering while wearing the necklace. It had almost darkened in color. Because this is my most valuable possession, I contacted the jewelry store where she purchased it. A one-hour drive will get you there. The lady who answered said they'd try to clean it, but if they couldn't, they'd send it back to the factory. Or I could go to Amazon and order some SIMICHROME cream. It was expensive, but it worked, she said. When it arrived, I did as she said and smeared it on a cloth with a dab the size of a half pea. Squeeze the necklace chain as you pull it through the smear. As the tarnish melted away each time, it left a black streak. To remove the residue, I washed it with warm water and soap, and voila, it was shinier than I remembered. At this rate, this tube will last many lifetimes.
A small amount rubbed on the surface of your sterling silver, then lightly buffed, will make it shine. Then wash with warm soapy water and a towel to dry. When you clean silver, you remove some of the silver as the oxide that forms is removed. However, removing a microscopic portion with this polish is extremely safe. Other metals can also be cleaned with it.
It's far superior to toothpaste and baking soda.
This isn't cheap, but it's a good investment. I've tried it on polished nickel and brass, and it works well.
Apply it to your buckle (or whatever you're shining) and buff it in with a cleaning cloth to bring out the shine. It's that simple! I'm really impressed.
This is the best thing to use on chrome, stainless steel, and other metals. I rarely give five stars, but this gets my vote.
In contrast to the fake metal polish I get from my motorcycle dealer. With a little elbow grease and this stuff, you can make an old stainless steel sink look like new. Feed ramps will become mirrors as a result of this. It will give the appearance of chrome on dull bike parts.
