Questions & Answers

Is it possible to transfer photos to a finished wood piece using this mod podge?

It is determined by the way the wood is finished. Some are slick, glossy, and non-sticky. Mod Podge won't adhere properly (or permanently) to absorbent coatings. If your surface has this type of coating, you can still use Mod Podge, but I recommend rubbing steel wool or fine sandpaper over the area you'll be covering with the tranfser image first. This allows the Mod Podge to adhere more permanently by opening up the surface for absorbency and making it slightly rougher. After the transfer is complete, you may want to use Mod Podge or a clear coat spray to seal the finished piece. A spray- For outdoor displays, a clear coat will last longer.

I'd like to use this to tint some bottles, but I'm not sure if the glue will come off if I put water in them after they've dried. ?

I've been using Mod Podge for a long time, and it does come off if you soak your items in water. There will be visible spots if you get water spatters. If it's only a small amount of moisture, such as wiping with a damp cloth, it won't affect your finished item much, and it'll probably go unnoticed, but it will make it tacky. Items can stay tacky and stick to other surfaces in high-humidity areas. For these reasons, I always use a spray sealer (also from Mod Podge, but others will suffice) to protect my finished product. Items are relatively impervious after a complete sealant has been applied.

Is it possible to use this product in mason jars filled with flowers?

Yes, mason jars are compatible with this product.

Is this product suitable for flower pots made of plastic? We sanded and painted the pots, and now we want to seal the paint so it can be used outside. ?

Patti, I use this product frequently, but only when I top it with a clear coat of a weather-resistant top coat. It will definitely work on your flower pots if they are kept inside; however, I find that the items I used outside with just the Modge Podge become sticky to the touch in warm weather, leading me to believe that the constant cold/hot and dry/wet conditions would easily break it down. I hope this information is useful. Some of the things I've used this product on can be seen on my Facebook page. It appeals to me. Www. facebook. www.decoralacarte.com

Poured Acrylic Art Projects are a breeze with this material
5/5

I've only recently begun using ModgePodge in my pouring medium mixture, but I'm really enjoying the results. Only Floetrol is used in this mixture. I tried to capture the glossy difference between the darker green and the photo with the white paint but a matte finish so you could see the difference. To make it easier to mix and flow with paints, thin it out with water.

I had a wonderful time at collage
5/5

I was not at all apprehensive about purchasing such a large container. I've been modifying a lot of things lately. With this, I've been snooping since March. On a paper collage, it looks great - I made collages out of paper, cardboard, and other materials. canvas. It's also been used on glass, according to my observations. It brightens my day to see my drawings with a glossy finish. They are very easy to stick to other surfaces. br>br>It dries transparent. Simple to work with. spread. br>br>You can also collect small leaves. modge podge and flowers- On a page, strew a smattering of scribble What a wonderful feeling.

I haven't decided yet
5/5

I have to say it smells and acts exactly like elmers glue. From what I've heard, this stuff is a magic potion in the crafting world. However, when I tried doing the same thing with both mod podge and elmers glue, the elmers glue came out a little bit more dull looking than the mod podge, but overall I feel they are both the same really.

It Works
5/5

My spinners were painted and then covered in giant glitter, but they always changed color when exposed to sunlight. But now I use Mod Podge and then add giant glitter, and the color remains the same. Thank you for the product; I'm always learning new things to improve my spinners, so if you have any suggestions, I'd be grateful. One more thing: I'd like to sell my spinners, but I'm not very good at selling. If there's any way you could assist, please do so. I have 48 mirrors on my spinners. I use large glitter in blue, red, green, gold, silver, and pink to make them. My wife died of cancer, so I now donate the pink glitter spinners to breast cancer patients. I'm not sure if that's a good idea, but it came from my wife, so let me know what you think.

It's a little thicker than the stuff I get at the grocery store
5/5

Mod Podge is a magical substance. I was thrilled to be able to get a gallon of it instead of paying $8 for small jars of it because it has so many uses and is great for projects with my daughter (3 years old). br>br>This appears to be thicker than what I normally buy. I'm not sure if it's old, new, or just a mental trick. I thought about diluting it, but ultimately decided against it. It still worked flawlessly, and I'm not sure I used any more than usual. It was a little more difficult to evenly mix the glitter into it than usual (again, we put glitter on everything with our 3-year-old daughter), but by a little more I mean an extra stir or two. Overall, I'm very excited to have large quantities of it in the house so that we can craft whenever we want.

There are still fumes, so a fan is essential if you are working on a large project such as a wall or ceiling
5/5

Instead of polyurethane, I used this to cover my ceiling in brown paper. It performs admirably and emits far fewer noxious fumes. There are still fumes, so if you're working on a large project like a wall or ceiling, turn on a fan or open some windows to help ventilate the area, as it can make you dizzy if not properly ventilated. Also, cleanup is simple with just soap and water, but for larger projects like mine, I recommend using surgical gloves because if you don't, the paint dries quickly on your hands and fingers, taking an eternity to clean off. But my project turned out fantastically, and I've already received numerous compliments on it.

I'm glad I went with the gallon size because I was able to finish a glitter wall and cover switch plates
4/5

In my daughter's playroom, I intend to do another glitter project. This stuff has a distinct odor. It's not strong enough to require a mask, but it could cause a headache. However, I would purchase this item again. Although it can get a little messy to drape something over your floors or work area, it did the job and I had no problems with application.

I like this product; it could be better, but it's great for crafting
4/5

It's not great for sticking down lace; I had to use a lot of it to get it to firm up. For crafts that aren't as heavy as lace, this is a good choice.
