Questions & Answers

Does styrofoam work well with this?

It is dependent on the foam type. It works great on every other TV I have, so it's a good investment.

When it dries, does it remain tacky?

It doesn't stay tacky for long. It dries completely, but it may take a little longer to dry if the weather is humid.

For Halloween, I've decided to make glitter pumpkins. Is this glue suitable for glittered pumpkins?

I believe it will be successful. I used it to hold pressed flowers in place.

Is this going to work on broken porcelian or bisque statues and figurines?

Well, that depends on how thick the broken pieces are. Because most porcelain and bisque is porous, I recommend applying a thin layer of glue to the pieces you want to join, wiping away any excess with your finger, and allowing the glue to dry completely. Apply a second layer of glue to the pieces and adhere them together once they have dried. It may also be useful to have a small strip of masking tape on hand, depending on the shape, to hold the pieces together until the glue dries. If the pieces aren't thick enough to have enough surface area, seal the edges as described above and then use super glue, which dries in seconds and is extremely strong.

Not at all quick to dry! I've been using Aleene's tacky glue to make miniature dollhouses! At Walgreens, it was on clearance for
4/5

About a year ago, it was 99 cents. As a result, I purchased at least ten bottles. It's great for almost anything, but when I saw there was a quick-drying version, I thought, why not? It doesn't appear to dry any faster, and it appears to cause me more adhesive issues. So I'm going to stick with my regular tacky glue because it works best! I'm a little disappointed with this glue, but three bottles for $8 isn't a bad deal. So, if you've found a glue that works for you, I recommend sticking to it! This isn't even close to the original tacky glue in terms of effectiveness.

This is what I'm doing with it
5/5

Use to sculpt with. These are not Styrofoam compatible. Smaller projects, such as paper crafts, will benefit from this.

It's not really sticky, and it's not really tacky
3/5

Let me start by saying that I'm not a scrapbooker or a crafter, but I was gluing fabrics and trying to avoid the fumes from my usual go-to glue. to 3M Spray Adhesive, but I didn't think it lived up to my expectations. From now on, I'm going to wear a mask and spray everything. Spray adhesive, hot glue, acid-free tape, and plain old Elmers have served me well in nearly every situation I've encountered in my life. This would be something new and possibly game-changing, I reasoned. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Besides, if I were a scrapbooker, I'd use acid-free tape anyway. br>br>I picture something viscous, sticky, and globular when I think of tacky. This has a liquified consistency and isn't too dissimilar to Elmers. I don't think the formulations are that dissimilar if you compare them side by side. br>br>When I think of glue, I imagine a higher-quality product that dries faster and is non-toxic. a yellowing bond, as opposed to how this turned out. It will likely become more off-colored as it ages or is exposed to the sun than my results. br>br>So it feels like I've been duped when I combine tacky and glue in my mind and look at this. To be honest, I was a little surprised by the average review rating for this product. *raises both brows*.

Slowly but steadily
3/5

Cons: As others have stated, Aleene's glue does not dry quickly, which I believe explains why the bottle does not specify how long it will take to dry! In some cases, the paint does not dry clear. I've got white glue spots on a project that haven't dried in over 24 hours! It's sticky, but it doesn't hold things in place. I've had to keep the cord I'm gluing in place until it dries a little. That irritates me a lot!
Pros: It doesn't have a strong odor. It has the ability to stick. That is all I have to say on the subject. It's thick enough for my cord project, but not so thick that it won't hold the single cord in place. Because the cord is flat, gravity may be able to assist—but not in this instance! But I'd buy it again because consistent glue, even if it's mediocre, is hard to come by. With this one, you just have to be patient.

To dispense, I didn't bother to cut the tip
5/5

I read the other reviews, and the tip cut is never the right size for squeezing, so I pour a little out and apply it with a variety of small paint brushes, so far my miniature build is going well, each material dries differently, wood and paper dry faster, plastic parts need to tack-dry, and so on. Building/gluing 1 piece of furniture with many pieces may take a few hours/days to stage out the steps because they dry first. Metal has yet to be tried. Multiple items are cut/prepped, then glued one after the other in the tray to reduce waste.

Very well done
5/5

It dries a little faster than expected, adheres poorly, and is a little messier than anticipated. Overall, a "B" product that is still very good at what it does and dries clear and isn't completely rock solid until the next day, allowing for more crafting.

Excellent Multi-Purpose Purpose Glue is a glue that has been specifically designed for a specific purpose
5/5

I use old toilet paper rolls to start my flower seeds indoors instead of purchasing overpriced seed starting kits because I can't bear spending money on things I could make myself. The bottoms of the rolls, on the other hand, are always untucked. So I needed a good glue that was just tacky enough to keep the rolls closed at the bottom until Spring, when I could plant them in the garden. This glue is perfect for the job. br>br>I've also used it to glue down my husband's reflective 'police' letters that come off over time due to him getting in trouble (he's a cop). So many times out of the patrol car. This is an excellent multi-player game. br>br> It's a general-purpose glue that can be used for crafts, small repairs, and other things.

LOOK ELSEWHERE if you need something to hold and hold quickly
3/5

I was hoping that some of the other reviews were incorrect. However, in all seriousness, This is not a fast-drying adhesive, and it isn't even tacky. It's *extremely* inconvenient to have to hold pieces firmly in place until they dry. Will it meet my requirements - I'm not sure yet because it's taking so long to dry that nothing is dry enough to tell if it'll stay. LOOK ELSEWHERE if you need something to hold and hold quickly.
