Mine came in completely opaque. I can't find anything on the label of the product that arrived at my door that says translucent, and I just mixed two drops of the red into 20 mL of resin, and it's a solid color that I can't see through at all.
No, it's not the case. Alcohol ink, on the other hand, is a completely different animal. It is not alcohol ink if the bottle does not have the word "alcohol ink" written on it.
This liquid pigment dye works best with two-part resins, and a little goes a long way!
Yes, I do

WOW, I'm really pleased with this product! I used it to make three different colored FAKE popsicles, and my customers were ecstatic with the results. In a matter of minutes, all of my watermelon popsicle decor pieces were gone. Great product, and I like how it has a simple stopper that allows me to drop just the right amount of product without getting messy or overdoing it.
I gave it two stars because the colors are very pretty. They mix well inside the epoxy, but when you start mixing it with other colors in the tumbler to make a swirl or marble, it begins to form cells. It was as if oil and water were being mixed together. So I tried it a few more times, assuming it was just a matter of the dye not mixing well. It's the same old story. It'd be a great effect if that's what I was going for, but that wasn't the case. 3 cups added to the strip pile, and when you add glitter on top of it while it's still wet, it seems to pull the top coat off.
Even in UV resin, it works well. My test piece was a little strange because I'm impatient with UV resin, but I've also tried it in ten minute (white curing) resin and enjoyed it. It only takes a little to make a big difference. I only wish I had a lighter pink instead of the brighter pink, but that's okay because I like the variety of colors.
I'll admit that I'm a novice. I've only completed a few projects with this dye, so it's possible that I'm just not very good at it. These pigments were purchased so that I could try out the "tie dye" effect that I had seen done with alcohol inks. Again, I'm new to this, but this dye appears to simply sit on top of the epoxy and dry sticky. In contrast to the mica pigments I've used, which should dry like resin. I haven't tried mixing these dyes with clear resin instead of just adding them to the project, but the next time I use them, I will. I'd like to point out that I've only used a small amount of dye each time, that I've tried swirling it, and that I've tried adding white (as I've read that this pulls the colors down into the resin). The only thing I haven't done yet is apply a clear coat after dying, which I believe would be effective. I'm still not getting the results I've seen with alcohol inks from others. If you're new to resin, I recommend combining these with clear epoxy or simply purchasing a mica pigment set. I've never had a problem with mica powder.
The inks are on the thinner side, making the product easy to squeeze from the bottle, and they blend well, whether mixed with a blending solution or inks from other brands. Lets Resin Alcohol inks and Lets Resin color shift powders are the most vibrant of my choice; the inks are on the thinner side, making the product easy to squeeze from the bottle, and they blend well, whether mixed with a blending solution or inks from other brands. The Colorshift powders give all of your fabulous creations that show-stopping, make-you-look-twice effect. I will continue to buy this product, and I rate it a ten out of ten.
Many colors in small bottles at a great price. Colors that are nice and clear, transparent, and can be darkened by adding more tint. To add opacity, you can also use a small amount of pigment powder. I'd like to see more colors because I'm currently mixing a few to create new ones.
This is fantastic! The colors are beautiful, and you only need a drop or two to get a nice vibrant color. Because you only need a drop or two, these bottles will last a long time. the only real issue I have is that a couple of the colors change when cured. The sapphire blue transforms into a topaz-colored gem. like the yellow tone and the purple browns (though only a smidgeon). I'm not sure if it's because I'm using UV resin rather than two-part resin, but only those two colors work. Thankfully, there's another blue in the pack, and I can make a purple by mixing red and blue, so it's not a big deal. However, that sapphire blue is a bit of a letdown. Before I cure it, it's such a lovely deep shade of blue. The other colors, on the other hand, look fantastic! I still think it's worth the money because 13 of the 15 colors have very few issues.
