Questions & Answers
These are ideal for use with fursuit heads. Mine is where I keep all of my hats.
You'd have to ask the seller about it.
Before putting on the made silicon mask, I would suggest applying a material (safe for use on silicon) to the head and storing it in a climate-controlled environment.
Not in the best of circumstances. Because it's made of polystyrene, I'd be hesitant to use it for a long period of time at a high temperature.

I've seen this head used by a lot of fursuit designers, so I'm glad I got my hands on one. It's incredibly durable (even without water), about the same size as my head, and takes up very little space. If you get hot glue on it, wait until it cools down before scraping it off with a credit card; I've dropped it a few times and it can certainly take a beating. I'm sure this will last me for a long time!.
0; however, before leaving, check for leaks. The build quality is far superior to the previous version I had. I like the weight and feel of a water-filled head. After about 3 hours of filling it, I returned to a studio table that was full of water. If you plan to fill it with water, I recommend putting some sealant around the fill plug gasket to ensure it does not leak on delicate materials.
So. I'm afraid to walk away from it now that it's in the water (Once shy, twice shy. ) For future efforts, I filled mine with sand to give it weight and eliminate any risk of leakage onto my electronics and tables.
I had an older Ed head that I needed to replace in my workshop. These are fantastic for creating costumes and creatures out of.
The first time I used it, I filled it with water to keep it stable, and it leaked all over the place from the filling cap. Because the fill hole is recessed into the armature, it is also impossible to drain all of the water. Aside from that, it's solid and well-made. Even though it will be much heavier, filling it with sand or ultra cal is a good idea.
This is by far the best item I've ever bought. I strongly advise any sculptor, costume designer, or fursuit maker to obtain one of these as soon as possible.
The head is lifelike and extremely durable. I haven't seen him fall over, even when he's a little front heavy, but I have noticed that anything that digs into his head at AL scratches. I tested this by running my finger along the top of the head with a little pressure, and there were some obvious gashes. However, given the material he's made of, this is to be expected. I don't want to go overboard with tools or anything, so he's ideal! What a wonderful product!.
For my customers, I make professional "mascot" Fursuit animal Heads, so I need a head base to turn the foam mold into an animal head. I'm able to complete my work using this mold because of its sturdy structure and ideal head size. Definitely worthwhile to purchase!.
This was my first purchase when I decided to try my hand at mask making. It has a good weight to it once filled with plaster and will not tip over. I've got 5 pounds of clay on it and can't even tilt it, so it's tough. br>br>The smooth base makes it simple to rotate without a sculpture wheel, and the facial features are muted so you can concentrate entirely on your mask vision. There are no ears as well, which I'm not sure is a good or bad thing. It was simple to sculpt ears for my mask, and because one of the ears was oddly shaped and supernatural because it was a monster mask, I believe that not having an ear to get in the way made it easier to add a monster ear. I'm satisfied with it. br>br> So, what do I know as a newbie? But you have a pretty good range of experience levels between the guys above, who sound like pros, and me, so this armature will be useful to a lot of people. By the way, if you call Monster Makers, Jason is an extremely knowledgeable individual who provides excellent customer service; he deserves a raise!.
