Questions & Answers
Besides protecting your project from sticking to the kiln, kiln paper is designed to prevent your glass from melting. The brand of kiln paper does not determine how smoothly the glass runs. An unlevel surface, or excessively high stacks of glass, are the only circumstances that can cause this to happen. A classic rule of fusing is "1/4 rule".
I agree! I am in awe of the fineness of the texture and the fact that it is so thin and so If you use this paper, your bottom side of the glass will be smooth (unlike with Microwave kilns are my favorite way to use it!
As a rule, I do not believe there is a maximum temperature. In use, this paper is single-use and will break apart during firing, though not in a way that will harm Sometimes you can blow these papers right out of the kiln shelf once the glass has been fused, cooled, and then cooled again.

I used my microwave kiln to burn it up! My jaw dropped when I read all of the great reviews for this product. I now assume these are the opinions of family and friends. one of Bullseye's suppliers claims to have not tested this paper in a microwave kiln. There was shriveling and burning of the paper and the glass in some places touched the shelf of the kiln. The problem could have come from both sides, so I tried both. During the process, the matte side shriveled up and floated over the glass, where the shiny side turned a dark brown and actually glowed in certain places like a cigarette. If the seller refuses to refund me, I will contact him or her. It is my sincere hope that customer service will be able to resolve this overly complicated I think it depends a lot on the microwave model and wattage because they are variable and could influence the performance of Thinfire Kiln Shelf Paper. As soon as the seller tells me the parameters, I'll know what to do.
This resulted in a rough back of the glass. It doesn't seem to be working the way it is supposed to. Papyrus is on my list to try.
It does what it's supposed to do. There have been multiple purchases for me.
The ones I have here are fine, but next time I will buy the kind you can cut to size. I will need to use 2 for.
Keeps the back of my pendants smooth, and works well on my microwave kiln.
This product has been very helpful for me, much easier to use than I thought it would be.
Kiln paper that is best suited for the microwave kiln is this one.
