Sorry - I don't recall purchasing or using these in such a long time.
I bought them a while ago and am no longer in the same location, so I am unable to test them. However, if my memory serves me correctly, it was more plasticky in nature. The texture is flexible but stiff, and cutting it is difficult. I hope this has been of assistance.
Thank you for your valuable invitation on this item; yes, we agree that was a mistake, and we will make sure that does not happen again on the blue cut items in the future. Thank you very much.

For around $40, I used to be able to order a pack of twelve 8 x 10 photos. You can carve on both sides of these, which is a plus. I wish they were a little larger, like 5 x 7 inches (which is why I didn't give them five stars). I'd prefer a lower price. The product is simple to cut, and I appreciate how clearly your markings can be seen.
This is easier to carve for printing than traditional linoleum, but it does not print as clearly. It doesn't have any kind of backing, not even the traditional woven hemp that allows you to carve deep into the linoleum without cutting through it. It has a greater degree of adaptability. It would be better if it were mounted on a block. br>br>Having said that, it's perfectly usable, and I'm glad I tried it for my return to linoleum block printing, which I hadn't done in 30 years.
A thick residue was left across the middle of the outer face of two of the four pieces after the product was stacked with wide sticky tape around the bundle. You could flip them over and use the other side, but that would make a mess on the counter. It shouldn't be necessary to work it out on your own. I'm coming back.
I was expecting a 4"x4" as stated in the description. Each of the four tiles is slightly different in size, none of them are identical, and none of them are square. I have yet to attempt to carve them.
It's ideal for linocuts because it's easy to carve and prints beautifully.
If you're a skilled carver, you'll be able to. I had no idea there were two textures to choose from - I couldn't tell the difference between soft and firm, and neither of them seemed'soft' to me, more like flexible. br>If you're a good carver, you can get a nice line, but cutting it wasn't easy for me. My skills, however, aren't particularly sharp, and neither are my tools! I'm simply stating what I discovered. I prefer the Moo carve because it produces a nice line, and I can get some here in town. Shipping is difficult and costly.
Perfect . It's the perfect balance of softness and firmness.
