Questions & Answers

If you have suggestions for my daughter who is now getting into painting with acrylics, please let me know. What is the best way to clean the boards? How can I do that?

Before you use wooden palettes you must treat them with oil. In order to use this palette as a cupcake tray for a children's painting party, we purchased it. YouTube has countless videos on how to clean palettes. You can google how to do it or search on Google for more details.

Could you please let me know if you have 78 wooden painter's palettes?

My answer to that is no

Can you tell me the dimensions of this item?

As described in the text, the answer is there. This oval measures 75 inches

The palette needs to be cleaned. How should that be done?

You must apply several coats of wood conditioner, or linseed oil, to the wood before you begin using it, in order to keep paint from soaking into it. Wipe excess off after putting on a thin coat and letting it sit for a few minutes. You may need to repeat this 3 or 4 times to achieve a good coat, as well as a light sanding between coats with fine grit sand paper. If you want to use the wood, go by the grain. Paint thinner or odorless paint thinner can be used to clean. Using baby wipes to remove the excess paint will be the best way to clean Bob Ross' larger palette came in handy when I switched from the wooden one. It might help if you put this in your email.

NO, WOOD DOES NOT WORK
3/5

When I was cleaning my palette tonight, the bottom started to come off like paper. I was really happy with it, UNTIL after I painted I felt compelled to paint it. "Why is this peeling?" was the first thought that came to my mind. Wood is what this is meant to be". When my fingers came across the back of the paper, I realized it was a wood paper cover over a piece of masonite. What?.

The palette performs everything I need from a functional point of view
4/5

In terms of functionality, the palette does everything I need it to do Paint is held in place). It would have been nice if it were real wood and not wood veneered particle board, but that's not a big deal, since after a month of use the wood texture is barely Using oil paint is easy to clean - just wipe it with a damp cloth- It is easy to scrape the paint off of the mixing area in the center and wipe it with a paper towel and In the end, I put the palette in a carton with an airtight seal, and I freeze it to keep the large globs of paint on EDITOR'S NOTE Images 2 and 3 (BR> The palette has developed a pleasant worn patina over the past few months. I have not encountered any problems with the structure breaking down.

The palette is excellent for oil painting
4/5

This palette is perfect for my needs thanks to its size and weight. It is a great piece of art for oil paintings. While I was aware of the need to seal it with linseed oil, I had no idea it had to be done. It's the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, since I didn't want to have to seal it following the purchase.

Our use of it is good
3/5

If you decide to clean it, be careful. We use it with our 6-year-old without problems. There's no way to wash it off, so the paints will just build up - that's ok When I tried to wet it the first time, it would not work. As the "wood" began to separate, it began swelling. So we were able to preserve it by not soaking it too much. Her favorite thing about it is that it is larger and she no longer has to use.

Definitely needs to be polished! Raw wood is what it is
3/5

In terms of size and weight, this board is perfect, but it is raw wood, so the oil does not slide off like on other varnished boards. You may be able to apply a polish before you start using it, but you'd want to buy something ready to use. There is going to be a problem with polishing it,.

The hand grips easily and can be held for hours! It would not be wise to paint this board with oil unless you have a good clear paint It would leave oil paint on the board forever if you did not do this
5/5

I really like the way this board works for acrylics!.

If you are going to use oil paint, you need to prim it first.
