Questions & Answers
These were painted entirely with acrylic paint, and they are not re-usable. It's a thin piece of paper that you use once and then throw away.
The pads aren't flimsy at all. I looked around and found a rectangular plywood pallet that was about the right size, and with the help of small clips, I was able to attach a sheet, locate and cut a thumb hole, and be done scraping.
There will be no corner curling. This is an excellent acrylic palette. I'm sure it'll work for other types of media, too.
I'm in the middle of a water-related situation. This is the one we use in class because it is based on oil painting.

How did I go so long without hearing about this type of paper palette? The grey shade is ideal for helping me understand the value of the colors I'm mixing as I paint. br>br>Because the paper is heavy, it does not curl or buckle after sitting in the paint for more than an hour. Furthermore, the paper does not slide around on the pad. It also doesn't appear to let paint or moisture through. br>br>I attempted to cut a sheet that would fit inside my Masterson's Sta- I adore the Wet Handy Palette, but - after a day in the fridge - It was impossible to use the grey palette paper because it had curled up too much. br>br>As a result, I'll keep using this palette paper on the pad. br>br>In general, I wish I'd known about this type of palette paper much sooner. I'm not sure I'll be using white palette paper again in the future.
This item was purchased in preparation for an upcoming university oil painting class. It appears to be a little pricey, but it was on the required supplies list. It appears and feels as if it should do the job while also being practical. There is no need to clean the palette. I'm going to store it in a plastic box in the hopes of keeping the paint on it usable from one painting session to the next, but that would be a problem with a wooden or glass palette that needs to be cleaned. This product appears to do away with a clumsy task.
Get it! Like. . Why didn't I realize this when I first started painting? This is fantastic. I'm not sure if there's a difference between how colors appear on grey and white, but the palette paper itself is what I'm talking about. It's a lot easier now. You don't squander nearly as much paint this way. It doesn't work as well with craft paints because they are more liquidy, but it does with other types of paints. These are lifesavers if you use Liquitex Basics or something similar. Please don't dismiss it until you've tried it, even if you're a die-hard Styrofoam or paper plate user. The pad is more durable and spacious than the plate, and it has a different texture as well. Even so, there is still less paint waste when compared to the plate method.
When compared to white paper, the grey background produces a more accurate tone and hue image. Because it's a slightly slick paper, blending your paint is simple. It makes finding "just the right color" and painting a little less of a chore. To use, I like to tear off the top sheet and place it on a firmer palette. Only the top sheet of the pad could be used.
I can sometimes repurpose it by simply wiping the paint off of it, which saves me some money. I gave it four stars instead of five because the paint would not leak onto the other pages and the sheet I was working on would not curl if it was glued down on all sides with just a small slit to cut the sheet off the pad when I was finished with it. It'd be perfect if you glued the sides down.
I like how convenient it is, but I don't like how it makes me feel. I go through them at a breakneck pace. I love how convenient it is, but I only use 2 to 3 sheets per painting and only paint 2 pieces per day. I read that these are just wax paper, so I'm thinking about using them. However, I'm lazy, and I prefer the convenience of simply using one sheet and moving on to the next. This seems to me to be a waste of time. I like the grey color of the sheets because it creates a nice background for mixing colors; they also show the true mix better than any other pallet I've used. I also get the larger sizes to make it worth the money, which takes up a lot of space. This product has advantages and disadvantages. Hopefully, this information has assisted you in determining which option is best for you. It arrived on time and in perfect condition.
I used to use an oil palette made of glass, but I got tired of having to clean it every time I painted. I simply tape a single sheet of paper to my glass palette for stability with these paper palettes. Then, when I'm done with that color scheme, I simply throw it away. There is no need to clean it. Because of the gray background, colors blend perfectly.
This pallet paper is fantastic. It's fantastic to be able to see the difference in color. Thank you very much. I received my package in record time!.
