I'm a professional colorist, and I run a FaceBook group called "Teaching Adult Coloring With ILene Vick," where I teach Adult Coloring by broadcasting nightly, LIVE, from 7pm CST to 10pm CST. br>br>These paint trays were purchased for use in my Adult Coloring Group. The trays are ideal for what I need them for: storing the various types of paint I use. br>br>Depending on the design of the page, I use different types of paint to color it in my coloring books. I like these so much that if I need more, I'll buy more. br>br>I would have included a picture, but Amazon's method for uploading photos is so bad that I couldn't do it.
What an excellent deal: a set of four palettes in which you can mix whatever color paints you want. I don't like to wash out my colors because I prefer to add water and reuse them, so these are ideal.
When I bought these, I had no experience with painting. You will receive four lovely white palettes, which I used to paint Warhammer figures. The wells are deep enough for mixing, and the whole thing is large enough to keep the paints separated when you need them. If they weren't so difficult to clean, I'd give them five stars. Even with bleach, they will become clean enough to use for a long time, but not as clean as they were fresh out of the box.
I like that I can mix my paints in the center of this pallet; it works for me. Add a small piece of parchment paper and some paper towel, and I've got a small wet pallet. br>These are simple to clean, and I enjoy using them.
We used them to make a paint-and-sip party at home.
They're simple, but they get the job done. They're light and sturdy, so they'd work well in a natural journaling kit for outside, though a lidded tray would be preferable.
Although the product was of good quality, I was able to find identical ones under a different brand at a dollar store.
Kids will enjoy it. Teaching them how to mix paint and use water color or acrylic paints is a good place to start.
