But not totally convinced it will be a good replacement for Ditto. To clean an airbrush when spraying enamel, I think you will need something else. I am pretty sure both of these methods won't work. For those paints, I don't think this will work. As I switched from enamel paints to acrylic paints for my model tanks, I thought I would try this. I thought this might keep the airbrush from clogging and maybe even lubricate it, so I decided to give it a go. Despite 40 years as an automotive technician and all the cleaners and solvents I have used, I am skeptical of this product since the non-toxic component is impossible to separate from the phrase "non-toxic". It is from "useless" that it is toxic. Since Simple Green being the only exception to my experience, I have been unable to find such software The term "toxic solvents" is used. I haven't used this yet, but so far it's working, although I used rubbing alcohol first. Cheaper than Tamiya thinner, not as cheap as rubbing alcohol, nor as effective as what I already used. The airbrush cup will be much better in the long run if I can leave a bit of this stuff in between uses. The airbrush seals won't be damaged by alcohol, I'm not sure why some people say that Considering the sealing isn't tough enough to stand up to rubbing alcohol, paint would probably also degrade them. The idea of taking apart an airbrush is not appealing to me Although they can be taken apart without a lot of difficulty - reassembling them is more challenging for me. Therefore, I am hoping this cleaner can help prevent the paint from drying in the brush.
I prefer it to using simple green diluted. *BR>*BR>After an airbrushing session or between color changes, I add a small amount to the gravity feed cup, and let it set for about As soon as that short period has elapsed, I can see the paint literally fling itself off the sides of the cup and into With Simple Green to clean my airbrush, I didn't have to wipe off the paint with a towel as I did with Simple Green before. The paint in the cup/chamber will readily start to lift off if you are familiar with stripping your models in Simple Green/Purple Power, and you notice that paint starts to lift off your models. This cleaner does the same thing. I thought the overall content was pretty amazing.
Acrylics like Tamiya are made by MEDEA, the industry standard. The product also works well with Vallejo It cleans acrylics and leaves a thin layer of lubrication on your airbrush to enable it to perform better. I will recommend that you run some acetone through your airbrush and then run the Medea on the parts to lubricate them before painting them. Acetone should be handled with caution. When it comes to rubber O rings, it is not to be trusted. Do not forget to oil your O rings as well as your trigger assembly periodically.
I have used it for a couple months now and have found it to be For the past few years, I have only cleaned my airbrushes with water. Vallejo is the most common brand I use. I like using the Paasche RT when I'm in a hurry. It is possible for paint to get trapped in the crevices of nozzles. It is better to sit it with the cleaner after use than just water in order to break down the Vallejo. However, it still doesn't completely break it down. As for the Badger 105, water is usually sufficient to wash out paint because it rarely gets trapped, so it typically gets flushed out with water. Anyhow, I use it after rinsing the airbrush with water, so it will last quite a while. I think it's a good deal if you use it like I do. is not capable of breaking down Tamiya.
A much larger bottle than I expected, but that's because I didn't pay attention when I ordered, so in the end it was a good thing. Whenever I use a variety of paint types in my airbrush, this product is quite effective at cleaning it out. When working with automotive type paints, there are other chemicals that I can use to clean my brush. However, I've been experimenting more with water-based paints lately, so I thought it would be nice to have this when I'm doing that.
The most frequent reviews I read before purchasing this were all excellent I mostly use acrylics for testing and Tamiya models for my Oscale models and this product does nothing for them. It might be great for makeup, but I use mostly acrylics and it's not for me.
My airbrush worked smoothly between paint jobs using this cleaner. I am no airbrush pro, but I know this cleaner works well. I like the size of the airbrush since I tend to "overclean" my airbrush after painting because I try to get all paint off.
The order arrived while I was home, which is a good thing. If I had brought an empty container, I would have brought it. I found out that it had leaked on the inside of the box and was now showing on the outside. Before getting the packaging open and securing it upright and tightening the lid, I lost about 2 inches of merchandise. We will try again soon.
