Questions & Answers

Is it possible to sandblast a 5mm surface at 100 psi for 10 seconds with 200 grit al2o3?

You certainly can! It's what I use to apply stucco to the outside walls of big houses. It was initially clogged, but after clearing the jets with a large drill bit, it works like new. I don't take care of my tools as if they were my children. It is never cleaned by me. It still works great after soaking in a bucket with the trowels and knives! A+++++

Is this a genuine HP CS Eclipse from Iwata? What makes it different from the more expensive version that doesn't include the cord, cleaner, or solution? https: //www. ama?

There isn't much of a difference, as far as I can tell. A hp cs Eclipse is just that: a hp cs Eclipse. I know a few people who have this airbrush, and they're all the same, despite the fact that different packaging offers with various accessories exist and have existed.

What is the most effective way to prevent this from deteriorating?

If you're not cleaning your airbrush, don't put it in the window/windex cleaner. The ammonia in the windex will eat away at the finish of your airbrush, causing potholes.

Is it possible to use canned propellant with this?

Sure, go ahead and do it. If you don't paint often, renting a compressor until you can afford one is a viable option. However, if that's all you use it for, a less expensive brush might be a better option. For painting with canned propellant, this one might be a bit much.

Exceptionally High-Quality Product
5/5

I've been using Badger air brushes for nearly 30 years and they're well worth the money. The 200 and 150, in particular. They are sturdy airbrushes that perform admirably in most situations. I was impressed by the overall quality of an Iwata that a friend showed me (not the Eclipse featured here). As a result, I began to wonder: I'm not sure what I've been missing all this time. br>br>Be aware that there are Chinese knock-offs available. Iwata knock-offs are being sold for a fraction of the cost of the "real" Iwata. These are not affected by what I'm about to say about my Iwata. br>br>The airbrush arrived in the estimated time frame and in perfect condition. br>br>First and foremost, the overall fit and finish is impeccable. This high-quality product A high-quality chrome finish can also be found inside the airbrush, which is crucial. Of all the airbrushes I've used or owned, this one is by far the easiest to clean. Paint residue does not adhere to the inside of the airbrush, and most of it can be removed by simply blowing solvent through it. The airbrush's front end is broken down into four pieces. This gives you complete access to the air and paint passages, as well as the color cup's bottom. For cleaning, I use disposable mascara brushes, which reach and clean all passages successfully. br>br>Second, there's the two-pronged approach. The Badger 150's way control is more predictable and easier to use than the Badger 150's, owing to the back-up camera. Traveling back and forth is a little more time consuming. The Eclipse's spray pattern is also extremely sensitive to changes in air pressure, so spraying close at 10 psi produces a much wider pattern than spraying close at 5 psi. (I use a Makita compressor from a hardware store that has a great regulator that allows for small air pressure changes. ) A moisture trap is also included in this system. I was able to spray moderately for the first time for the first time. paint that has been thinned and applied in a very narrow pattern - When it comes to painting model planes, this is a huge help. I can do this without switching to a fine tip and needle, as is usually the case. This saves both money and time. br>br>Third, this airbrush is heavier than a Badger, making it easier to control. When the trigger is pressed at a higher pressure, it does not kick back. br>br>Fourth, as a top-performing company, One can spray paint that is less-than-perfect using an airbrush. thinned and, if necessary, thickened to improve coverage. However, even very thin paint can be sprayed with success. The top-down approach has been chastised by some critics. because the color cup obstructs your view when you're doing up- work that is meticulous This has not been my experience. Simply look at the work from the side!br>br>Here are some ideas: When cleaning the airbrush's front end, be sure to keep track of the four small parts that make up the nozzle. If you lose even one of them, the airbrush will be rendered useless. Second, I recommend purchasing an Iwata cleaning station. This serves as a secure parking station as well as a safe "dump" for waste paint and solvent from the airbrush. The importance of the second point cannot be overstated. You'll be putting the airbrush down a lot, so make sure it's steady. If you don't, the airbrush will be dragged off the table by the weight of the airhose, and it will invariably strike the floor nozzle. First, causing significant and costly damage to the front end (I've been there! The cleaning station also holds the airbrush at a 45-degree angle, making it easier to load paint into the color cup. Overall, this is a high-quality painting tool that will provide immediate satisfaction as well as excellent paint application. The amount of paint control it provides and how easy it is to clean are the two biggest benefits for me. It's no surprise that its owners vouch for it.

I'm new to airbrushing, and this brush has quickly become one of my favorites
5/5

I'm new to airbrushing and would like to make it easier to apply basecoats to my 3D prints. So far, I've had a lot of positive feedback on some of my early paintings. jobs, and I can't say enough good things about this brush. I received an excellent grade. Instead of starting with a subpar alternative and turning myself off to it, I decided to use the end brush for my first. This allowed me to really get a feel for it (and use Amazon's return policy if I didn't like it). You should definitely look into this, as well as a good compressor (I went with the ZENY Pro 1/5 HP Airbrush Air Compressor Airbrushing Kit).

Excellent airbrush for a beginner
5/5

I've only recently begun airbrushing and recently purchased the HP- I chose CS after reading several positive reviews on various fishing lure forums, and I wanted to start with something good rather than something that would frustrate me. The only part of the supplied hose that I couldn't find information on was the 1/4" compressor end. I wanted to use a compressor that wasn't made for Iwata, and after reading reviews, searching the internet for contradictory answers, and contacting Iwata, this is what I discovered for the fitting type. 1/4" male NPT fittings can be used with this fitting type. The threads on the original male NPT fitting I had had been deformed from previous use, which is normal for NPT to NPT connections. The hose was unable to thread on to the old NPT fitting as a result of this. The hose end was mated to a new 1/4 MNPT fitting by hand, and the seal was formed against the o-ring. The threads vs. the ring So, in the hopes of assisting someone, the fitting is a compatible fitting rather than an NPT fitting. Many people had trouble connecting to a garage compressor, which could be because the fitting had previously been mated with another FNPT fitting.

I returned it to Amazon (thank you for having such a great return policy) and purchased an HP- Every penny was well spent
5/5

Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wo I'm new to airbrushing, so I went with the Paasche H, which is a single action airbrush that is relatively inexpensive and "user friendly. " However, I was never able to get it to work properly for me. I returned it to Amazon (thank you for having such a great return policy) and purchased an HP- Three drops of Vallejo air black acrylic and one drop of Vallejo acrylic thinner worked like a charm right out of the box (and after running a little water through it). Yes, I still have a lot of work to do, but I was able to get in shape before the wedding. 1st shadings: Model aircraft made of plastic in 72 pieces. This purchase has made me extremely happy. If you can't afford this excellent airbrush right now, save up some money and purchase this adequate airbrush later. You'll be buying frustration, a waste of time, and expensive paints (yes, airbrush paints aren't cheap) if you spend less money.

far away, solid I had/have another nameless airbrush that would occasionally not clog and worked fine when it wasn't clogged, but it was frustrating because of the frequent stops
5/5

So I began my search for a good airbrush and ultimately settled on the Iwata Eclipse. This is a functional beauty. br>br> I've never had a clog before. No, but it's a lot more rare, and it's pure bliss when it happens. My airbrushing is currently at an A level. Not really, but I'm improving and am no longer hindered by a subpar weapon. Iwata for President! br>br>.

It's an Iwata Eclipse, as the name implies
5/5

If you're debating whether or not to purchase this airbrush, go ahead and do so. You will not be dissatisfied with your purchase. Everything about it is of high quality, and it's everything I'd expect from an Iwata Eclipse airbrush. My only gripe is that you can't switch between cup sizes (I do a lot of large surface coverage, so I have to refill the cup with paint several times during the process), but that's not a big deal because I knew exactly what I was getting when I bought this airbrush. The hose that comes with the package is also of good quality.
