Questions & Answers
If you want to staple the canvas to the stretcher bars on its back, you can do so on the back or on the side. What a wonderful work you have done!
I'm Ronald, and these are steel forged parts. There was just a sale, according to my understanding. Please contact Booker at HowzeArt if you have any questions
The size of it is two inches. If the grip had rubber pads I would love it, but it would be an extra expense. This feature does not appear to be necessary. A wire "prop" between the handles for tension in the holder would be helpful - I find it almost flimsy. There is an extra support in the handle of my toenail clippers. This could add some bucks as well, but it has held up well so far and I have only stretched 3 or 4 smallish canvases with it. My apologies do not extend to others. Basically, the price was right and the experience so far has been good.
Selected User Reviews For Fredrix Canvas Pliers
As a result of reading negative reviews about several other brands, I purchased these canvas pliers. My canvas over wooden frames is stretched more easily with the lever action.
Would it be possible to have rubber covers on the handles so that they are more comfortable? It would be great if the handles of the pliers had a little cushion because I have to torque down on the pliers. The tool would be ideal for small canvases because it is well built and very good.
It's a good product. It should last a long time. If there had been a similar product at a third of the price (and quality), it would have been satisfactory.
This was the first time I had used pliers like this, so I can't really compare them to anything else. Perfect price and.
It is a great find to find Fredrix Canvas Pliers and they work exceptionally Priced at a great price, this is a great deal. This is a beautiful product that I highly recommend.
BSB.
The products I have used from them were generally great and I continually recommend them to friends and others in the Amazon I like the feel and weight of these canvas pliers in my hand. The textured mouthpiece has never slipped on me while I use it and the spring gives just the right amount of tension when it's needed. One critical observation I would like to make is that the handle could have been slightly textured instead of such a smooth one. * I have large hands and I think the handle would be perfect for most people. * I would highly recommend it to those who are considering canvas pliers.
This product gets the job done, but I will be sure to order one with rubber grip next time, as these will hurt your hands after stretching several items at the same time.
