Given that the difference is only 15 mils, I'm not sure exactly where to take the measurement. What I can say is that I used the heads to mate up with existing "male" mates on older vintage planes and cars that were most likely ASME instead of metric.
The half-inch long screw is attached to a "cap" that receives the "snap." The "snap" is attached to a tarp or canvas for protection. Get the special vise grips if you plan on attaching a lot of "snaps." similar to a tool It's a bit pricey, but it's worth it. That I can assure you of.
The number 304 can be found in the description.
1/4" is what you think it will be. Is it the stud for the mounting? You appear to be underestimating the size of the snap. Currently, the screw is a size of 8 (. 164"). The screw head must also fit within the snap's recess, which it does just about. I can't imagine it having a shank that big, with a head that's only slightly bigger than the body, but it might work. I'm not sure why anyone would spend the time and effort to do it because it would require a special machine fastener that would be extremely expensive and unlikely to be in demand in the marketplace (except by you). If you require this, you will almost certainly have to alter them yourself.

The claim on the front of the box that there are "stainless steel snaps" is a complete fabrication. I'm a mechanical engineer who graduated from MIT. The only stainless component of this snap kit is the screw, which I discovered through destructive analysis (grinder). The entire male portion of the snap is supposed to be stainless, according to one of the product photos. The female portion and button are, in fact, brass, as they stated. Take a look at my micro- photographic images The snap parts are nickel-plated except for the lock ring, which is unplated brass. plating brass Using these in a marine application is probably a bad idea (they aren't exactly "marine grade"). All in all, I'm using them to secure bug screens in my RV, and they're great. I've even placed a second order for the same kit. Furthermore, the punch tool provided is made of a very soft material that deforms easily when struck hard or with a larger hammer. With an 8oz, I'm "wood pecking. " claw hammer, which appears to be quite effective. If you strike it hard, you'll not only deform the punch, but you'll also buckle the tubular rivet and get a bad result. Take it slow and you'll be fine. Also, get a 3/32-inch tubular rivet. You'll be much happier if you use a 1/8" circular punch to make a clean hole in your material.
I was worried that the snaps would be too loose or too tight because of the application. It's great that they're in the middle. The snaps were added to the fabric using the provided tools, which was simple to do. I do have a hole punch, so I used it to make a small hole in the material for the snap to go through. That, I believe, improved the flow of the process. Despite the fact that it was a time-consuming process, I now have my fabric snapped onto a frame in the manner that I desired. I'll buy it again if I have another project in mind.
These canvas straps were simple to put together and are extremely durable. I used them to make a canvas cover for the slide in the play set so that the kids could use it on hot summer days. We've had a few days with strong winds and rain, and they've held up admirably.
The kit as a whole is quite good. The snaps are sufficient, and there are plenty. The lack of different length screws in the assembled snap bases is a flaw in this kit, and the installation tool is of lower quality than those found in smaller kits at my local hardware store, but it will get the job done. br>If you have a lot of snaps to install, I'd recommend getting a better tool instead of using this kit.
These have left a lasting impression on me. Our project was time-consuming and labor-intensive, but I'm thrilled with the end result! Even in windstorms, these snaps hold up well!.
This worked well for securing gazebo covers that didn't match the frame exactly. I used to buy hardware store kits, but they usually only came with six snaps. More was something I desired. The snaps in this kit are the same as the ones I had before, but there are 50 of them in total. That appeals to me.
Although the quantity isn't exact, these are high-quality marine snaps at a reasonable price. CAUTION: If you require 50 sets of snaps, be aware that you may not be able to find them in the package. br>br>Snap pliers are used to attach the snaps, so being able to eliminate the tool would be ideal. We've ordered quite a few of these sets. I've accumulated a number of useless tools.
There are numerous applications for this product throughout the house and on the deck.
