I tested it on Suede, Cotton, Wool, Faux Fur, and Fleece, as well as doing my own testing (snapping and unsnapping about 100 times in a row) to see if it would fatigue the fabrics and come loose; These snaps, on the other hand, were able to hold their own. If it's a cheap, thin craft felt that doesn't have much tensile strength of its own (as most prepackaged craft felt does); due to the fact that the majority of the feelings are non-verbal The felt may become fatigued if it is woven; However, if you use high-quality wool or woven felt, I don't think you'll have any issues. I'd test a small piece of felt by punching a small hole in it with a crewel needle, then flexing and gently pulling on it with your fingers at the same time to see if the hole widens quickly and easily. It's possible that sew-on snaps would be preferable. If the felt doesn't loosen and begin to unfelt, it should be able to withstand normal wear and tear. Another method for reducing fatigue is to punch the hole for the snap, then paint the felt in the area the snap will cover (trace the snap if necessary, with the punched hold in the center) on both sides with a 1 to 1 glue to water dilution, let dry, and then attach the snap. I had no trouble putting it through two layers of denim. This denim came from a pair of misses jeans, so it's a little thinner than men's jeans, but I think it'd work on thicker denim as well.

This is a set that I really enjoy. I'd never used snaps before, but they were surprisingly simple to master. I've even included some illustrations in the hopes of aiding others in their learning. The two shank sizes correspond to the two types of pressing pads. T8 snaps, I believe, are used with the pressing pads with slightly larger holes. br>br>The color photos I posted (with my color names) are nearly identical to the real thing. with a couple of exceptions Steel blue is another name for the light gray. The medium green is similar to, but not identical to, an olive green. The brown red comes close to being burgundy, but not quite. I chose a neutral black background for the colors in the hopes of helping others understand them better. br>br>It's simple to understand and use this set. The pliers have a cheap feel to them, but they appear to do the job well. I had some trouble loosening some of the screws, but a little anti-slip tape helped. That was made easier with the use of stick spray. Overall, I'd recommend this set to anyone looking for plastic snaps (note that these pliers are not for metal snaps).

It is extremely convenient and practical. They can also be used on a variety of fabrics. br>br> When my son's store-bought snaps don't work, this comes in handy. The buttons are made of plastic, which is great because they don't scratch our baby and stay in place as expected. Simple to work with. There are a plethora of color options to choose from! I apologize for the poor rating, but I felt compelled to do so because this product was rendered useless. br>br>I bought these to cover/block some snaps on my son's cloth diapers so that others would know to only use the free ones for a good fit. To begin with, assembling the snap pieces was a chore because the staple was difficult to press and your hand became tired after a while. I couldn't get things to line up 100% correctly so some of them later wouldn't snap to the other end or broke a little in the assemble process or broke a little% Finally, they are very easy to unsnap, causing them to fall out of the diapers. Because they were becoming a choking hazard, I eventually got them all out: (br>br>The only thing that made it better was the variety of colors. ).
The tool and buttons arrived in good condition. There are no instructions on how to use the tool or which pieces go on which side of the snaps, which is unfortunate. For instructions, I ended up watching a video on YouTube. On the two bibs I made, it worked well. I'm putting the bibs to the test to see how long they'll last. They appear to be firmly attached.
Update. These are fantastic, but getting the snaps to center properly took some practice. The snaps come in a wide range of colors. As a crafty kid, I would have adored having this set. Making button holes and sewing on metal snaps have always been two of my least favorite things to do. I'm not sure if I'll use buttons ever again! br>Recent changes: I used the pliers to set some snaps I had previously purchased, and they worked fine; however, I later used some of the snaps from this set, and they were of much lower quality. They don't close very well, so I'm still relying on the ones I already have. Pliers are useful, and snaps are attractive but inexpensive.
