How do I choose a machine that is right for a total If I had to buy anything, I would buy Do you have any needles, bobbins, etc? What color are they? What color combinations would you suggest? White or cream and green or blue? Your help is greatly appreciated! ?

Getting started with this machine is easy, especially if you're What's the reason? The following are the reasons why A toy going for $25 is not what it appears to be. When you plug in something that breaks as soon as you plug it in, you become frustrated and give up Here are the 2 examples There are only three best sewing machine manufacturers in the world, and Janome is one of them. are proud of their products and do not let the customer down. It is rare to find a Janome in a I found it helpful starting out with something simple so I could avoid confusion and learn the basics. I like this machine because it You can do well on this machine if you have a good teacher (you can find a lot of help on YouTube), follow the instructions carefully, take your time when you start out and work on small simple projects. This is why so many schools purchase this model for home economy classes. Similar to what you see in the photograph, this machine is white. You will be provided with a 5 pack of spare universal needles in size 12 and maybe six It is important to buy needles since you should change them after every project or every four hours of sewing time, whichever comes first. Good choices are Janome brand, Organ brand, and Schmetz brand flat shank needles. It is best to find a certified Janome dealer in order to fill your need for bobbins. A certain type of bobbin may not fit a particular machine. Make sure you do not use anything by Singer on this machine. The warranty will also be voided if you do not purchase it from an authorized Janome dealer. The Janome company can provide you with information on local dealers. There is a web page and FB page for the group.

Will blue jeans stand up to the heavy duty?

To get the right needle, you have to get the right size. Choose heavy duty or denim needles to get the job done. Schmetz or Organ brand needles can be used as well as Janome's needles for this machine. The use of Singer products on this machine is prohibited.

Do you quilt?

This machine was purchased for my daughter so that she would have something to do when I visited her in another state. It was for her girls that I was sewing ragtime quilts. The prospect of sewing through so many layers made me nervous, and I was unsure that I would need It was not necessary for me to purchase anything else. Not at all. I really like this

This little thing is a real It is amazing to see this sewing machine in action
5/5

Using this machine, I can sew through several layers of fabric almost like it's For my machine, I use Janome brand foot-but I have been buying Distinctive brand feet for years, which are less expensive but just as well made as Janome brand. When it comes to thread, I use Gutermann thread exclusively, and I strongly recommend that you do as well. When I tried to use any dollar store thread or even Coats & Clark and this machine refused to tolerate the low quality thread, I knew it could not tolerate it. The thread would tangle up in the feeds if it was Clark thread. The machine ran perfectly as soon as I cleared the tangle and replaced the thread with Gutermann's. What it wants is clear to it. It has not been necessary for me to oil this machine since I have owned it, but if you feel the need, you should find a sewing machine specific oil and not use WD40 or any other oil. If you care for this machine, it will care for Since it is lightweight and easy to move from room to room, I can take it with me wherever I go. It has been well over 5 years since I purchased my machine and I can say that I don't regret it one bit. This machine was taught to my grandchildren by me. If an 8 year old can use it, anybody Only one part of the system has broken, and I had to replace it, and that was the storage arm. I pulled it off haphazardly one day when I was rushing. It is not easy to get in touch with Janome anymore and our authorized dealers (mom and pop sewing and fabric shops) have all gone out of business, but I have found a couple of online stores that carry Janome line spare parts, and this proved to be easy for me. Despite the fact that the 2212 is an older model machine, I find the older machines to be more reliable and if you can find this machine for under $300, get it. You can get it for only $20. 00, what a deal! The value of this machine cannot be overstated, especially for I love how easy it is to use!.

Sewing Machine
5/5

I've been shopping for my own sewing machine for quite some time. I'd like to know which machine is best for beginners and experts alike. Because I was raised by a mother who sewed all my life, I caught on to the craft at an early age and enjoyed playing around with her sewing machine. Throughout my childhood, I visited her house to use her machine, but as an adult I haven't visited so frequently. In the past few months, I have been researching and comparing the best brands on Amazon. I have decided I'd like to make and mend things at my leisure with my own machine.
I didn't want to spend more than $175 on a sewing machine that I wouldn't be using every day, but I also didn't want a cheap model that would slow me down Originally I was looking for a machine that would only sew one layer of fabric at a time, and for Halloween curtains, Halloween costumes, and leather covers for my car seats. My first step was to find a sewing machine that could sew through leather, so I started searching for "Heavy Duty" As I started searching, I came across a Singer, an appliance that my mother has and that I am familiar with. When I took a look at the Janome machine in the recommended section, it caught my eye just as I was about to check out my Amazon cart with that machine. Reading the reviews and comparing the machines, I knew this was the one to get, and I bought it right away. It was the best decision I've ever made. All basic functions of any standard sewing machine are performed on this machine and they are all performed I've never seen a machine that sews so fast A quick set of curtains was complete in under ten minutes and the results were pleasant to see. A bonus bundle is also available as part of the Exclusive Bonus Bundle. In contrast, the other machine I was considering provided very few extras, but this one includes an extra pack of bobbins, a replacement needle pack, a replacement presser foot, and a FOUR-ply (metal, not plastic) spool of thread A four-step buttonhole foot and an explanation of the process are included with the item. My Machine's Stitching capabilities include 12 different stitches (I only experimented with a few but all of them have completed nicely) and I have not broken thread once during my usage (a far cry from my previous sewing machine experience). It is easy for me to think of things to repair or replace around my apartment I keep my machine organized that way so I can use it again! After I've finished a project, my extra tools and supplies go inside the slide out compartment. The dust cover goes on top, and the machine is tucked away in a Because it is too heavy to move, I don't have to leave it out, and I can always set it up easily The unit is ready to go when you plug it in! All in all, this purchase has exceeded all of my expectations. This tool offers a top quality performance that can help you create beautiful projects quickly and easily, no matter how much experience you have. It is without a doubt my utmost recommendation for the Janome 2212 Sewing Machine.

The machine is good, but the warranty is poor
3/5

Due to the death of my old machine, I had to replace it with a basic machine. I picked up the 2212 as the product of a friend who loves her Janome machine. It has all the basics (except for me wanting a single decorative stitch). The controls are easy to use. Some materials are thick enough to be handled by the machine. The machine did not falter during a sewing project where I sewed gathered hand towel edges into a folded cotton fabric. This is a good sewing machine for the money, in my opinion. **Edited for clarity Several months later, I had another problem with my machine, so I went to a Janome authorized dealer to take it care of. There was a charge of $42 on my credit card. You will have to pay $50 to fix it. The company called Janine directly in order to confirm that warranty coverage would not apply. On the warranty it is stated that if the product isn't purchased through an authorized Janine dealer, the warranty is null and void. Unlike Amazon, the internet giant is not an online retailer! If you choose to send it back to Amazon at your expense, it will cost about what I paid for the repair. So, Amazon has a one year warranty. The one year service warranty (labour) is void unless you want to mail it back to Amazon, and it follows that the 25 year warranty (defective parts) is also void. Therefore, the bargain you think you are getting is not a This does not apply to the warranty provided by Janine!.

I love it as a beginner The machine tore through heavy upholstery fabric with ease
5/5

It was my first time sewing on a Singer 2277. I was hoping the buttonhole thing and all the cool stitches would be a huge help to me. My first two machines I returned, so I spent a little more to get this one. I'm not an expert, but here's what I've figured out You can sew through almost anything with it, even the most difficult ones! With just a little practice you can master this machine! My beanbag chair was made from thick upholstery fabric and I had multiple seams that came together at the same time plus 6 layers of fabric at the same time. The machine barely noticed these seams. The needles did not get tangled, pulled, snarled, or stuck. Also, I was able to backstitch over all those layers with no problems. Additionally, I used it to hem silk curtains, and it worked nicely there too. In other words, it's not The only thing I wish I'd done earlier was to buy this machine.
