It's completely useless
3/5

Brother has really let me down. For more than 20 years, I've been a huge fan of Brother machines, and I was thrilled to receive this new machine with so many stitches and a self-threading needle. What a snoozer. br> The self-threading needle isn't one of them. It's a difficult to see and use device that only works about 10% of the time; using a magnifying glass is much faster and less frustrating. What was the point of doing something I was already doing? br>The two needle position options prevent accurate quarter-inch or half-inch seams when quilting or sewing in general. The designated presser foot chews the top layer or fabric when you attempt to sew a quarter-inch seam. Stop the machine, raise the presser foot, reposition the fabric, lower the presser foot, sew, stop, and repeat every two to three inches. br>The bobbin case is constantly slipping out of place. br>Inside, a broken piece of plastic fell out. I'll take this hunk of junk to a local dealer for service, but I'm done with it. I was duped out of nearly two hundred dollars for a complete waste of time.

When received, it was damaged and put to use
3/5

In terms of the sewing machine, it was faultless, performed admirably, and was simple to operate. When I received the package, I noticed it had been tampered with. The sewing machine belonged to a brother, but there was no support holding it in place. The needle was also discovered later in the box's corner. The paperwork and other items that were missing were misplaced. It appears that someone attempted to use this before returning it. The top bobble refused to spin, and the box appeared to have been mishandled or shipped. Rather than returning, I chose to replace. It was extremely simple to return, and Amazon promptly sent out a replacement Brothers sewing machine (of the same model) before I had the opportunity to return the damaged machine. br>The replacement was identical to the original, was packaged correctly, and worked flawlessly. I am overjoyed!.

My equipment is broken!! If you want to sew plush fabric or even nice fleece, this is not the product for you
3/5

This machine would not move the fabric through as I was sewing plush blankets for my twin great-grandsons. I've now completed six blankets and had to PULL the fabric through every stitch. I took a look at the video. I replaced the needle, rethreaded the machine, and cleaned the bobbin area. I've been sewing for over 60 years. When I called Brother, they told me to finish what I had started. As a result, they advised me to bring it to a repair shop. I intend to do so. In October of 2018, I purchased this machine. It shouldn't need to be taken somewhere to be repaired. I'm 79 years old and have a sewing machine. This is my third Brother, and I wish I had purchased a different brand. NEVER, EVER AGAIN. By the way, the machine's weight is listed as 19 pounds in the specifications. That's exactly what I was looking for. It's just 13, after all. I believe I should be given a refund or a new machine; I would not have given them a star if they hadn't forced me to or my review would not have gone through. There is one more thing. I wanted to personalize the blankets for the G. grandchildren. On this material, my machine would not be able to handle it.

For the price, this sewing machine is fantastic, and it's ideal for new sewers
5/5

FOR THE PRICE, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Especially for a sewer who is just starting out! In my 32 years of sewing, I've only ever bought Singer sewing machines. There are a total of nine. However, I decided to buy this Brother sewing machine because it had almost all of the features I was looking for. (The only thing missing is a thread cutter that automatically cuts the thread. ) ) and it has everything a sewer could want for the price. The machine can be operated without the use of a foot pedal because of the speed control button. allowing for consistent speed, allowing the user to concentrate on the sewing needle and the seam at hand rather than having to worry about maintaining a consistent speed with the foot pedal The upward trend Allows a person to stop by pressing the down button. The fact that the machine is computerized, allowing users to change settings such as needle position by punching buttons, makes sewing easier. stitch length and width, as well as the many different utility and decorative stitches. The majority of other machines in this price range are not computerized! Also, if you're a quilter who wants to do free-motion quilting, the ability to "drop the feed dogs" with a simple switch is extremely useful. quilting on the move br>never seen in a machine in this price range before! The extension table, as well as all of the different feet that come with this machine, are also valuable features. a strong recommendation.

This is a fantastic little machine! This machine was recently purchased for use at a summer cabin
5/5

I've always loved to sew and have owned both a Viking and a Pfaff. As a result, I've been spoiled by some excellent machines. I was concerned about this machine after reading several negative reviews, especially since I am accustomed to my Pfaff. I'm glad I took a chance on this one. While I haven't spent much time with it yet, it has already proven to be excellent. I'm blown away by how powerful it is. I'm going to be overjoyed to have something to use for light mending and quilting here. If things go wrong, I'll follow up, but so far, I'm not seeing anything that contradicts the negative reviews. Some people seem to have a problem with tension, but maintaining proper tension on a sewing machine is a necessary part of the process. My adult daughter is also working on a project while I start piecing a quilt. We just wish Tim Gunn would give us some feedback on our work, because it's a project runway machine!.

A lemon was delivered to me
3/5

I had this machine for 5 months and absolutely loved it. It died after a couple of days of continuous use at the lake. It cost me $20 to discover that it is not repairable. It turned out to be a lemon.

I'm very pleased with this machine, and as a novice, I believe it is very simple to operate
5/5

I purchased it because I was having trouble making narrow hems and finishing stitches with my previous machine. Sewing calls for both of these skills. When I had to do a satin stitch, it was the last straw. So, in the middle of a project, I switched machines and was able to move on to the next step without having to learn a new machine. It's a lovely machine with excellent stitch quality. The speed can also be adjusted, which is a nice feature.

I wouldn't recommend it because it isn't very strong
3/5

I would not recommend this machine because I already own a computerized Brother machine and assumed it would be just as durable. I've only had it for a couple of weeks and it's already broken four needles. My other machines see right through it, no questions asked. This one can't sew through anything thicker than batting (I was sewing with batting underneath my cloth). I'd return the box if I hadn't saved it.
