Questions & Answers

The wooden swift is large and I am looking for it. A plastic card with a small size is mine. The program does not run smoothly. What do you think of this spinning wheel? Does it resemble the larger ones you see at ?

There is no comparison between it and plastic, as it is larger and more reliable. It is my favorite and I know you will like it

How does this swift clamp its way to a table? Does it come with everything it needs?

I am certain that it love my tent. It is super easy to set up and take down, and really sturdy as well. Only issue I have had with my Swift is after a few hundred skeins of yarn, the strings that hold the "arms" together start to wear out. The fact that it was so easy to replace them and that they can wear out after all the work I've put them through made me not care in the least. I think it's unreasonable and petty to complain about anything braking when it gets the kind of work those strings do. That's not a problem as long as they are inexpensive and easily replaceable. The best I can say is )*br> What My Swift is my very favorite device!

There was a problem with the clamp peg. What are the chances of finding a replacement part?

This is unfortunately not a question that I can answer. If you require replacement parts, I recommend that you contact the manufacturer.

The products are made in the United States. ?

The answer is yes. If I recall correctly, there was a bill in PA

This is a flawless reproduction of Sweet Swift's old technology
5/5

In a nutshell, This swift has been paired with one of the Stnwood ball winders that you can see in my video The two of them work very well together. years, all of our yarn skeins have been unwound by hand, with one of us holding the skein and the other creating (People tried the "knee method" dozens of times without much luck. Although those procedures are still a part of our community building, using this speedy ball winder and swift As a result, pellets of yarn that come off a ball winder are easier to work with (they do not roll) and kinder on the yarn when you're knitting large projects like blankets or The swift looks hand crafted because it looks like it could have been made a hundred years ago, despite its high-tech nature. I just screwed it up- It is made of wood, and the whole thing is a study There are only two tricks to working with it 1) finding a good place for it to move freely, and 2) threading the skeins onto a In the video, I show how we've found loosening it a bit is a good way to get the skein over and onto the swift before expanding it. There must be another method, but I have found this to be the most successful. In light of the fact that I have seen and used this product myself, I believe you can also make one yourself. A bit of precise woodworking is all that is needed. I'm really happy with this swift, as it spins beautifully and cakes up a skein of yarn in the fastest and easiest way you could imagine. Then, rephrase this. **This product was not a gift nor was it given to me for free. The review is entirely based upon my opinions and experience with the product. I have performed some comparison shopping for the product before buying it.

Good customer service
4/5

The swift I selected was recommended by a friend, and I bought it because it can handle more than one hank of yarn at once, up to eight hanks. Swifts can handle hanks up to 5' most can go no higher than 6'. There are quite a few of these and I am not very good at winding them without a swift. It arrived with only one wooden knob, but both were missing when it was received. The product was not in working condition, so rather than return it to amazon, get a refund, and then order it again, I decided to contact Their customer service representative offered to send the knobs that were missing after some back and forth. Upon arrival, the knobs took 4 days to arrive. Your excellent customer service was much appreciated.
The knobs were difficult to adjust and when I attempted to screw in the clamp knob, it sounded like a cat yelping. Although it used to be noisy, it is now quiet after a lot of wax was applied. It's better to be too tight than too loose and not stay in place. All of the parts of the swift feel sturdy and the umbrella slats do not flimsy. Delicate yarns don't catch on anything because the slats are smooth. Despite the sharp turn, the swift does not hit any snags. I am very satisfied with the service and the speed.

The first time I used it, it broke
3/5

It's been a while since I purchased this winder, but I didn't have yarn to wind at the time. So I setup this one when I knew I would wind some new yarn on it. It cracked after three turns into the hole after the large wooden screw was being used to attach the swift to the table. No obstructions blocked the hole, and I'm not a strong person, so it's unlikely that I've suddenly mastered the art of superman We broke the strength of the human body. Unfortunately, that was unfortunate, especially since I was past Amazon's return window I am only giving it a low rating because I contacted the company through their site as requested, but they have not responded to my e-mails. I don't know. Silence on the radio. There were not even apologies, simply a "you can pay for a replacement part" That would, by the way, have been inferior to no solution at all, but it would have been better than nothing. My only choice now is to buy additional parts I hope will not break, since I can't return the old ones. I can't use or return the old one, so I must hope the new parts won't break either.

This is a highly recommended book
5/5

A miniature swift that I have access to at all times is part of a yarn shop I own. However, I would probably prefer to have one at home just in case I wanted to wind yarn at a strange hour when the shop was had done a good deal of research and found the Stanwood was both well priced and of high quality. I found some interesting results in my research. The swift I received is outstanding and I am sure I will get years of service from it.

Utilized this swift to wind some yarn that was VERY slippery
5/5

The word has been used. Utilized this swift to wind some yarn that was VERY slippery. As the yarn was too slippery to hold its shape without a support, I used a toilet paper cardboard for the center.

A great deal of quality, a great price, and an even better outcome! The time is extremely quick and the work is very well-done A well-made product, especially for the price
5/5

There are no rough edges, and it does not scratch up the table when attached to an edge, and the swivel is smooth and consistent. For the money, this is definitely a good buy, and it has already made several dozen skeins into tight, This book would be recommended to all knitters, no matter what experience level or frequency they have. There's a lot you can do with this extremely useful tool if you follow a few simple steps You can use it right away.

The process was smooth and fast
5/5

I love it. Although it may be hard to adjust the knobs, if you will be spinning a lot of yarn, the effort will be well worth it. The large version of this picture was purchased by me I'm not quite sure if it needs to be specified. The tension on this fabric is good In order to vary ball tightness, this is done by winding the ball in various directions. Stanwood Needlecraft is what I use with it. It is very easy for them to form yarn balls of excellent quality when they work together.

Being able to use one that can accommodate multiple hank sizes is fantastic
5/5

Having to wind several hanks of yarn has turned out to be a great help in this situation. It wasn't wide enough and got tangled when I used my old swift (a wheel model). Being able to use one that can accommodate multiple hank sizes is fantastic.
