It is not clear if a replacement is available from the manufacturer, but I expect one could be found at a local hardware or auto The reason I chose this one is that it appears to be repairable, unlike the self-repairable A plastic winder was contained in this kit. As of now, I have used mine a fair amount and the belt still shows no signs of wear.
Depending on the wind, it can blow up to 6 mph It depends on the thickness of the yarn whether it's 8 ounces or not.

You may also Yesterday it was delivered to us via postal service. This is made of beautifully finished wood, and I think it looks much nicer than It's nice to have beauty, but it's equally as important to have functionality! It is now possible to use my yarn bowl since I have wound a skein of yarn into a center pull. Although I would suggest that people avoid letting their skeins of yarn fall over all over the floor at the end, I think most people are smarter than I am on this matter. It is a product I would definitely recommend.
It slides off in a matter of 5oz. I would say the product is decently heavy, but poorly designed and constructed. I find it ironic that some of the "good" reviews don't seem to realize that's not the way a cake should be done. In order to receive the refund for the defective product, the shipping cost for the return The photos show how this produces an oblong ball, does not use the entire spindle, and mine had several problems. First, the common direction for spinning (clockwise) knocks the nut off of There is no anti-Islamic sentiment in it There are threads. Furthermore, the knob does not spin, so you have to let it slide in your hand as you wind, which is tedious, and it is impossible to wind at high speed. (Even though this was the only issue, I could have replaced it with a solid pin on the knob. )The spiral pin holding the yarn around the needle spins. The website does not appear to be The wood began to chip after just one gentle spin. The screw port for the spindle also started to look worn. its unusual spinning shape, I would be unable to center pull the ball and ended up making a painful pink and white spaghetti bowl when trying to knit with my hands when I first spun it. There are dozens of issues with this board, including hammered in threads for the parts and poor drilling. Given the cost, having this many problems is ridiculous, however even though it is damaged in several places, I can only get my money back if I ship it back The cost of this poorly designed winder is more than the cost of the winder itself. Using the cheap plastic ball as a comparison with the 5oz fully wound ball, I found it to be quite similar. Initially, I experimented with commercial yarn, but as a spinner, weaver, etc. for more than a decade, I wanted a more durable item to wind on a continuous basis. There is no such thing as that. This would destroy my handspun without a doubt.
My original yarn winder (plastic) is so long gone! I can't believe how much better this one is! Aside from looking beautiful and working like a dream, it was made from beautiful beach wood. I found assembling it to be very simple. It's just too good to be true. I wind my skeins of yarn into balls using my umbrella skein winder and this yarn winder. As long as I set the tension appropriately, the winder stays put while I wind, and it produces the perfect yarn ball, regardless of how tight I wind. This yarn winder is the best winder I've ever used, and would recommend it highly!.
I think it's a good idea but needs to be tweaked a bit before it's worth the money. Also, the counterweight is not properly glued in, so it flew out while I wound the wire. It's good that it didn't cause any damage or injury to anyone.
There is a much larger one I have that works no better for 5 times the price. It is a good value and an excellent purchase I would recommend to anyone working with fibers at any level, professional or informal. A KIDDY.
The one I chose is the one I returned. The trip was well worth the money, even though I didn't want to spend that much. Winders like this one work really well. In addition to winding a larger ball than most plastic winders, it is also of high quality. My yarn winder is great! I am so pleased with it. In terms of crocheting, it has been a great investment!.
My first thought when I saw this winder was that it was great. As soon as it was ready for use, I wound every piece of yarn in my collection without any difficulty. As a result, I accidentally knocked it off by accident with my elbow while it was sitting on one of my crafting cabinets. There hasn't been any proper winding of yarn This issue can be resolved if I reattach the weighted section to the rotating section of the piece by adding a secure clamp. The first time I tried, the clamp was not able to hold the two pieces together. I have since given up, as there was no way to clamp them In addition to the other reviewers that have stated that it would be far too expensive to return, I want to advise that if you purchase this item, take great care of and don't damage it.
In order to prevent it from happening again, I need to take a break and unwind, then guide my hand by hand. Despite the wooden construction looking sturdy, the fan does not wind properly, so it is not a great concern.
