Each bead has a diameter of 5 mm. The holes are small, but any kind of thread can go through them if you want to make a bracelet out of them.
The beads are small, but the opening is large enough to accommodate fishing line; however, I'm not sure if regular crafting string would fit through it easily. This is a perler bead craft item that we only use.
This is a dark brown with a lighter brown undertone. I'm not sure whether it's still available.

All of the craft stores were out of stock when I needed these beads, so I had to buy them here. These are of excellent craftsmanship. Perler is a popular brand for melting beads. br>br>When craft stores have their monthly rotational sales, you can get these bags for half price.
I probably won't order from here again, but I would recommend Perler's website instead because it is less expensive.
My mother purchased the generic ones from. These were purchased with the intention of melting them in the oven and using them as "enamel dots" on Christmas cards. They came out looking great. The edges were perfectly rounded and smooth, and the color was retained. My mother's generic ones from Wallyworld, on the other hand, were a different story. They never fully melted, resulting in deep dimples in the middle and some yellowing. If you're going to use these for scrapbooking, there's something to be said for going with the name brand. Making a reservation or a greeting card.
Simply put, do not purchase. No matter how hot my iron got, these beads refused to melt. I've never had an issue with any of the other perler beads I've purchased. My peg boards were completely ruined and melted while trying to iron these beads. I had no choice but to toss them out, along with the rest of the project on which I had worked for hours. Even after over 30 minutes of trying to melt the beads, they would not fuse together like normal beads.
Great. Although, for the price, I believe they could include a few more beads, these beads are excellent and simple to iron. I strongly advise it.
I bought these for my granddaughter to use in making Christmas gifts. They are her favorite.
Simply use these beads as a substitute for other brands. They are unrivaled in their field.
Perler beads are of the highest quality, as one would expect from the company. The dark gray color scheme is fantastic.
