Questions & Answers

What do you think about these beads fitting over a hook on I am thinking of using this as a size indicator. Thanks for taking the time to read this! ?

Trying one out now, its designed to fit well on a wire hanger, as well as on the small wire hook that sometimes comes atop plastic arms found on department store clothes. The plastic hanger is far too small to fit on a wall. Thank you! I hope this helps.

Is there an equal number of beads for each color?

While I didn't feel saturated with one specific color, I may have been equally saturated with both.

The iron-on paper comes with it, or do you need to purchase that separately?

The bucket does not have iron-on cones that are attached to paper. A separate copy of the paper was purchased. An additional customer pointed out that parchment paper is required. Suitable for use in baking. I think that would be fine. The beads, however, can pose a challenge. Depending on the color, they may melt more rapidly It would therefore be a matter of experimenting a little.

Can you tell me what colors you like?

The majority of colors are primary. Having them around is a great way for our grandkids to make things!

The only thing I wish was that they were available seperately by color in biggie sizes
4/5

We really like these, but it's very frustrating that you cannot order them separately by color (in biggie sizes). Over half of my son's bucket of black has been consumed but he still has tons of white The fact that I have to buy a whole new bucket so that he can complete his ladybug makes me sad. This is a bit of a rip-off. After the spider, he wants to work on a snake I don't think I will have enough black in the next bucket to finish covering the lady bug, the spider, and the stick. There will have to be a third bucket purchased The tiny beads are a little too difficult for him yet, he's only four years old and not the most patient of kids. I hate it.

This is a nice little charm, but also big and expensive
4/5

It is made with fuse beads and aqua beads. There are a lot of great products out there, and this one ranks right up there. It is my belief that all products are fine, have their pros, and have their The pros of this service are as follows The most notable strength of these is that they are easier to use. Children can work more easily with and place large objects with their hands because they are larger. The fact that these peg boards are larger and are used with larger pegs also means that they don't knock over as easily. They are also of good quality since they are made from thick plastic and have vivid colors. Because of their solid design, they can also be used as beads (instead of pony beads) for art projects which is really Pros - You need to know the cons in advance! The biggest problem I have with these is that they might be too They were a little too big and tended to result in designs that didn't look quite as nice as the other products. Due to the size of these beads, it is not as great of a value, since for the standard price of $20 that you can find on Amazon (I did not pay that price), you only get 1200 beads - the original package contains 2000 beads. It is not a great price for a simple product. If we compare the price to the amount, they should be more like ten dollars. I would buy these again, just as I would buy the comparable items I specified earlier, but I would buy them for different reasons or purposes. It may suit a need that you have, and I will buy more in.

The dots are much larger than they need to be
5/5

I saw a video that described how to make There is something intriguing about this. The embellishments I make are the most enjoyable for me. My only experience with perler beads is not buying them or using them. To test them out before spending $ purchasing a tub, I asked my friend if she had any to give me. There wasn't any way I could have imagined beads would be Colors range from at least 25 to infinity. My test, my search for the lowest price and an order from Amazon took care of my needs. The only thing I plan to do is make lots of dots, not shapes. The beads are melted in an oven and there are 11,000 that are in there I will not be using in my lifetime! spent a lot of time testing the temperature in my convection toaster oven in order to find the right temperature. One of those mini electric fry pans that looks like a mini oven was even used. This is what I use when I'm making marshmallow pops to keep the melted chocolate cool enough to dip in to keep it from cooling. There is a good reason for this. To keep the beads from sticking to the cookie sheet or tray, you have to place them on parchment paper first. If the temperature of the oven is too hot, the paper will burn and become It was difficult to melt the beads off the paper as they stuck to it. As a result, I have a lot of paper attached to The old ones are still functional, but I am more inclined to not have this It's only possible to use parchment paper once per batch, so make sure you use a new sheet each time. There was no mention of this in most videos. After watching several videos, I found only one that mentioned Biggie Beads as the product she used. It doesn't appear that there are too many shops/cable companies that sell these. Amazon shipped them the next day and I received them the following The color palette is limited to eight distinct hues, which is a bit I have compared the Biggie Beads to their regular counterparts and as you can see from my picture, the Biggie Beads are enormous. Also, there is a mini bead which I do not know the size of. My order for the tub looks pretty mini even though it does not state as much on the tub itself. My next step is to order some silicone mats on Amazon so that I can melt my beads there. Therefore, they'll all fall off without sticking to each other. The paper still had to be peeled off after the beads were baked and the paper had warmed a little. I wouldn't say it's as bad as burning It worked best for me to bake it at 325 for at least 30 minutes or a bit longer when I used a convection oven. You may need to bake them longer to flatten them out, but it is not likely to be much. Most failed to flatten or spread any further. The density of the dots would also be determined by how thick you want them. Using a regular toaster oven or oven, I would bake it at 325 for 30 minutes. There is a 25 degree increase in convection. It will take a long time to bake, it sounds like. When I put them in the oven and do other things, sometimes I forget about melting the Also, in the very first video I saw, the oven was set to 450, I don't recall how long it was at that temp. As a result of the high temperature, one bead was burnt and the paper also got burned.

Especially good for kids ages 3 to 5! Perlers have been on my to do list for awhile, but since I have a 4 year old who won't take no for an answer if I had beads around the house, I opted out
5/5

Exactly what I was looking for! I'm so happy that I bought them on the advice of someone I trusted. She can pick them up and handle them easily because they are large. It is important that you pay attention to how long you are ironing them because, while attempting to melt them sufficiently, we warped one of the peg boards. To alleviate warped boards, tape your design over the top with painter's tape or masking tape, then lift it off and iron the other side. You won't have to worry about your design warping the other way around. Compared to other purchases I have made, I am extremely happy with this one. However, I wish there were a larger number of colors to choose from.

This set of big beads is fantastic! For my kids (4, 6, and 8) they were preferred over the smaller ones! Do not forget to purchase boards too! Those beads are great, but do not come with a board
5/5

I originally bought them thinking my 4-year-old would get a kick out of them. These would be the kind of things a year old would like. kids aged 6 and 8 preferred the biggie beads over the original beads, I decided to get myself some of the same beads.
