I've had mine for nearly two years and have never experienced frost.

With the help of a pallet jack, a bob truck was loaded onto a pallet.
Yes. It has been extremely hot in South Florida, where I live. My garage was probably at least 100 degrees. I've had the freezer since May/June and have only had one problem with it when I loaded it up with food. Later, it began to beep, indicating that the temperature had dropped below the recommended level. The beeping stopped as soon as I turned on turbo freeze.

We bought this freezer in late August 2018, got it in September, and it worked perfectly until the first week of December, when it stopped freezing. We started the absurd process of making phone calls and scheduling service visits, with the most recent tech visit occurring in February. 11 from the GE manufacturing repair service. GE assured us that the freezer was in good working order, but that their models would not work in "uncontrolled environments" (i. e. , outside of the home). The garage, for example). We attempted to return or at the very least exchange the freezer for a model that would be compatible with our environment after reading hundreds of reviews in which people stated that they were able to use it in their garages without difficulty. Despite the fact that we spent months diagnosing the issue, the retailer "cannot" do anything because it has been more than 90 days. Now we're stuck with a $700 freezer that we can't return or exchange and that we won't be able to use. (Due to space constraints, we are unable to use it indoors. ) )br>br>After this nightmare, I'm not sure I'll ever buy another GE product, and I'm leaving this review as a warning to other customers who may be considering purchasing this freezer for garage use. Be careful who you buy from. br>br>(*Note: If you want to be more formal, you can say: This freezer was not purchased via Amazon. This is a review of the product in particular.
There is plenty of space and it is peaceful. There are three drawers in this unit. It's deep, and there's plenty of room between the shelves; I have four large turkeys on just one shelf! If you purchase it, you will not be disappointed! I was delivered and set up in my own home! All I had to do was sit back and enjoy the show!.
This was a gift for my son and daughter. This year's Christmas law The interior LED light was described as "bright" in the product description. Although it is better than no light at all, it is not nearly as bright as the Frigidaire freezer in my garage or the light in either of my two refrigerators; in fact, it is quite dim. This was a selling point for me, so I was disappointed.
I'm not sure what the issue with the warmth is; it's a freezer, so it's not warm at all. The only issue is that the alarm continues to go off for no apparent reason. When I attempted to contact customer service, I was repeatedly hung up on. Other than that, there are no issues; it is a large unit, but that is exactly what we wanted.
The freezer appeals to me because of its size and the fact that it appears to keep the temperature at around - The temperature is currently at 8 degrees. But. Despite the fact that I reset the temperature alarm the day before, it continues to ring every morning. Following some investigation, I discovered that this is a common issue with this model. No one seems to know what to do about it. Beware of the buyer! I wish I'd known before I bought. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> The appliance repairman arrived under warranty and diagnosed a problem with the "sensor. " A new one will be delivered in 10 days. What a disaster for GE Quality Control! Another Concern: br>br> The freezer is shown with glass shelves and a two-bin bottom in the listing. Wire shelving ran the length of the freezer, and the wire shelving isn't particularly sturdy. As a hunter, I require a freezer that can store a large quantity of meat. After one of the shelves collapsed, I had to take it down. Bait is a type of bait that is used Switch! br>br>I had high hopes for this freezer, but it has disappointed me.
After our old one died, we decided to order a new one. I needed something that could fit in the nook in front of the water heater and was garage-rated. So far, it's been an excellent freezer. There aren't any issues. The alarm, on the other hand, isn't particularly impressive. It should be a lot louder, in my opinion. It's even worse when you're stuck in the garage.
It was plugged in and started working great right away after waiting for delivery (no fault of the seller; units were hard to come by). It was nice and big, and I was very pleased with it. Following that, approximately 3- After 4 months, the temperature inside was gradually rising, and I had to discard a number of items because it was no longer cooling. Finally, I tracked down a local repair shop, which informed me that there was a coolant leak and that they would have to order parts. I'm still waiting for parts six weeks later, and I'm told there's "no estimate" on when they'll arrive. So now I'm stuck with a large sum of money invested in an appliance that doesn't work and is unlikely to work in the near future. This GE Appliance product appears to be completely worthless, and it has soured my opinion of the entire brand. DO NOT BUY.
What a piece of scum! This freezer was purchased and used for a month. It has ceased to function. When I contacted GE, they insisted on having it repaired under warranty. I had it checked out by a local repairman. After a month, the compressor failed. It isn't even a GE freezer, according to him. It's a GE knockoff that's being sold as one! He has no idea if he will be able to order a new compressor or other parts that have failed. It's been another month without a freezer that I overpaid for and now can't even use! Don't waste your money on this subpar product; it's time for "GE" to refund my money and pick up this piece of garbage!.
