There is no way to turn it off other than unplugging it. It isn't particularly heavy, but its weight will be determined by where it is placed.

This freezer is outstanding. It has a large capacity for food.
I was in desperate need of a bigger freezer. I simply couldn't fit everything I wanted in the smaller one. This one has a lot of space in the door and a lot of shelves. There's a lot of silence here. The styling is also excellent. I was concerned that I would have to have it delivered without first seeing it. However, it appears to be exactly as shown in the photos. It was also delivered without incident and safely.
For both space and contents, the unit was ideal. WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN THE DOOR IS OPEN. When the door is open, the top hangs out. I slammed my head into it. Lots and lots of blood! There is a point on it that is very sharp. I have a sign on it to remind me of it. br>br>It's a challenge to open the door; There is no way to grab it.
It functions perfectly, but it is manual defrost, and after about three months of use, mine has accumulated about 1/2" of ice. Energy Star estimates that it consumes $30 in annual energy.
Due to the covid, it was impossible to find an upright freezer. On Amazon, I came across this title. It was just the right size for what I needed. The price was reasonable, and the product arrived on time.
We only bought it because we were expecting a half-baked beef and it was the only freezer we could find. It is a very nice little freezer; the only strange thing about it is that when you close the door after it has been open, the freezer makes a strange hissing noise; I have never had a freezer do that before. Aside from that, everything has gone swimmingly so far!.
For the two of us, it's the perfect size. It's very quiet; I can't hear it unless I'm right next to it. My only gripe is that the invoice included the seller's phone number in the information. We were unable to communicate with the delivery company. They did arrive, but the shipping company claimed that if they had a valid tracking number, they would have delivered 5 days earlier.
Everything I put in it froze, so I had to turn the thermostat down to number two.
