I find this headset to be amazing, but is it the same My first headset for Xbox One that I have enjoyed all the way through
5/5

A wired input on my controller broke, so I had to switch The reviews on YouTube said this headset was pretty good, so I did a lot of research. My preferred pair would have been the turtle beach stealth 600's, but I decided to try these instead. Although I've only had them for two weeks, I'm already in love with Readers of this review should take note of the following Take some time to discover the features of this headset by viewing YouTube videos, so that you can find one that fits you best. I've worked with this one for quite some time, but there are definitely better ones Having a good bang for your buck with this one is no problem. Message

Update Now that I've had the headset for a few months, I'm not quite sure what to think. There are no problems whatsoever! Definitely something I would recommend at this point. It connects to PC as well. Just make sure to move the USB adapter to a USB port.

This is a really good deal
5/5

The sound quality is good. A review of the updates is at the bottom. As I was replacing an excellent Hyper X wired headset that had broken at the connector when it was plugged into the Xbox controller, I decided to go for this new model from Logitech. In order to prevent this from happening again, it seemed logical to acquire a wireless headset. For example, I was looking hard at the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 since it works like an Xbox controller (i. e. There is no dongle) so it would be less likely to interfere, but due to some negative reviews and also the price of $120, that may not be practical With a price tag of $150, I wasn't ready to commit. I have a friend who uses the Afterglow AG9 (also manufactured by PDP) and describes it as an excellent amplifier, though he reports a couple of failures in this line. A wide range of opinions have been expressed about the AG9.

In light of that, I stumbled upon the new PDP LVL 50 wireless that was It is very important to read critically (i. e. In addition, most of the user reviews are extremely positive, but at present (early March), they are almost all from people who received them for free in exchange for reviews. Despite the fact that I do not necessarily doubt the rating of these reviewers, when you receive something for free, you are probably more inclined to give it a positive review. . . I The initial thoughts are as follows There is nothing complicated about the packaging of the LVL 50 it is just a box that contains the headphones. In addition to the wireless speakers, you will receive a 6ft micro USB cable as well as a quick start guide. The headphones themselves are plastic with fabric ear cups and padded headbands. The only thing that makes this headset stand out is the Xbox green in the ear cups and the green wires running through the headband. I am sure that you would not be able to tell what brand or model these are if you walked up to them. It isn't necessarily a bad thing, and there is little chance that most people buying headphones for under $100 care about impressing their friends with them. There is one thing about the design that I don't like the labels on the switches and knobs are very faint and hard to read (see image). However, the buttons and switches are relatively small and you'll get the hang of Because of their construction and the fact that they do not fold, you won't be able to throw this headset in your suitcase when traveling. A typical low cost headphones adjustment is typical. For fit detail, the earpieces only have a limited range of pivot and rely on a plastic flex. Moreover, the ear pieces slide so that they can be adjusted to my preference. I find them to be very comfortable, because I have a fairly large head. I did not feel uncomfortable or hot during my first session, which was about 5 hours long. My old Hyper X boots were heavier and heavier and not nearly as cool and comfortable as these ones. For me, the padding in the headband is the most important element when it comes to comfort. I would only be concerned about the fit if you have an extremely It is clear that the design is for a low cost but it is done so well that there is a minimum compromise in comfort this in itself is an impressive It is worth noting that the stock PDP images show a different material for the ear cups and headband than what you have (they appear more like vinyl than they really Here are some pictures of mine that go along with Plugging the dongle into Xbox and turning on the headset are all that's required. It is possible to pair up, but the instructions are not necessary. In terms of sound quality, headsets are obviously key, but it is very subjective. The headphones are stereo only, so any surround sounds would be created in the game or on the PC or console. After my first use, I can assure you that I'm very happy with it. In addition to Red Dead Redemption 2, Far Cry 5, and Fallout 76, I also play Steam. I hear them all the same way I did with my wired headset. My guess is that they would do okay for this purpose. I haven't used them for movies and doubt I will either. You may not find it to be your best choice when it comes to music, however. As a whole, these have a gaming sound that is above their price range. do not think you'd be disappointed with it.

The microphone's sound quality, as reported by those I played online, is good. I had no need to repeat anything I had said, and I especially like the ability to muffle my voice with my thumb. On the Xbox version, you can adjust the volume with two The first knob indicates the volume level for the entire system, while the second sets the chat volume and gaming volume. There are two knobs that can be used to adjust the sound, but you have to play around with them a bit to get the right sound and if you are playing with others, you will probably need to adjust the sound every time you play together. As far as I can tell, the PS4 version does not have a mix control. Also, I have a few other points There are currently no documentation or available information on the Internet for support. There is no FAQ or downloadable information regarding the LVL 50 (wired or wireless) on the PDP website. A quick start guide does not explain how things work or how they charge. My usual practice is to review manuals and FAQs before purchasing headsets, since they are not complicated. With the LVL 50 this is not an option. The only things that matter are durability, I am unsure as to how these will hold up to abuse over time, and I wonder whether they will be effective long term. It is merely a hunch, but I am concerned. In the positive side, they do offer a two year warranty, so that gives me some While I am certain many better ones are out there, the ones at this price point are hard to beat. Let me close by saying this It was a local retailer, not Amazon, that I bought them from. There is no difference in price today, so if you are considering these, you should check locally to see what they're like before you purchase. Hopefully I'll be able to follow up with updates once I use the LVL 50s more regularly. *Updated on 3/24/19 Here are a few more details I learned after spending about 30 hours with the LVL 50. There is no difference in battery life between the two models. The battery lasted me 14+ hours over the last few days without a recharging and no low battery indicator was given. It would be helpful to know the battery level, but I don't want to complain about the life of this phone.

The microphone is a bit confusing, though. It seems to work better if it's farther away from my mouth, but it's not clear what all the variables are. I've played with different friends and some have said I'm clear as a bell and others have said I'm hard to understand. I feel that it tries too hard to keep out the noises and is very sensitive. I find it easier to handle when I move it further from my mouth. I find it also a bit irritating that the two volume knobs on the Xbox version I own have a weird pattern. Its role is to control the volume for the entire earpiece, whereas the one on the left is intended to control the balance for chats and games. Although, I know it is hard to understand, but even if you aren't using chat you really have to work both of them for the sound to be accurate. you have the level adjusted correctly, the sound is fine, but it may take a moment to get the balance right. If you have it set, I think you can leave it, but it is too easy for you to bump or move the knobs to tell. This is due to its low cost of production (e. Light plastic) and has good padded and breathable ear and head pieces makes it effortless to wear. In terms of complaints about the microphone and volume knob, the feedback is largely nit-picky A picky eater. However, I remain very satisfied with the result overall. The latest update for the 13th of April 2019 is I mentioned in my initial review that I had broken the wires on a very good wired Hyper X headset where the controllers attach. Therefore, I decided to get that Hyper X headset repaired so I could use it on a PC as well. To see if the Xbox controller had been damaged after I got it back, I plugged it into my Xbox controller just to try it out. Despite it working just fine, it doesn't sound as good as the PDP LVL50, much to my surprise! My impression has always been that the LVL 50 is a compromise over my wired set, but it is As for battery life, again I can confirm that it is as good as advertised at 16 hours. In addition, while it doesn't allow you to check the battery level, it does emit beeps when the battery begins to deplete. The best microphone performance comes from placing it 3. 75 inches away from your mouth, near chin level. I have played around with the microphone more and I found that I should put it 3 to 3. 5 inches away from your mouth, near chin level. The distortion is increased when the device is too close to the mouth, adding to the annoying issue of picking up other sounds like This headset is no longer a weak point when the settings are configured correctly and the mic is correctly positioned. My rating has been changed from 4 stars to 5 stars as a result of my experience and the fact that discounts are starting to appear for it. It is impossible to make a mistake here. This is the latest update for May 5, 2019 The owners have now had the car for almost two months and have probably used it 200 hours or more. They are very satisfied with the purchase. Previously I mentioned that the only thing that kept me from enjoying this app was adjusting the volume and mix knobs. As a result, I took a paint pen and, once I figured out how to adjust the knobs, I All I need to do now is make sure that they are lined up properly. The fact that I have a good starting point gives me a sense of security now even if I have to make minor adjustments. I hope this makes sense to you. If not, please see last two photos. As far as we know, this is the last update, unless something goes wrong. It is already too long to write this review. Thank you for your understanding. This is a good product to buy. The latest update was posted on 6/11/19. It's OK, it's There is one more update, and this one is unrelated to As there was so little information on the PDP's website at the beginning of March about the LVL 50 (it's actually still limited), I wrote to PDP support asking questions. heard back Furthermore, the content of the response did not provide much useful information. This headphone still speaks volumes to me and I would recommend it. However, this style of customer service makes me sceptical of how well it will be supported in the event of My request for information had been forgotten, so it would be better for them not to reply at all.

1/20/20 Having used this headset for over 1000 hours since its release in January, it continues to be a joy to use even 10 months later. Most of the time. About a month ago, it started beeping frequently during some sessions, and now it happens more frequently. You may be able to fix the issue by plugging or unplugging the dongle. The headset may need to be turned on and off repeatedly to clear the issue. You can sometimes resolve the problem by connecting the charger. There are times when unplugging the charger will help. In other cases, there is no resolution. My favorite part of this headset is when it doesn't beep The sound quality is also good, and the headphones are still comfortable. In contrast, it of course becomes unbearable when it is beeping. It's almost as if R2D2 in your ear is screaming at you, and it interrupts the normal sounds in the room. It seems the beeps do not start at the same time, and I am sure they mean something specific, however there is no information on PDP's website about how to interpret them. . . Detailed troubleshooting is NOT an option. I have no idea where the troubleshooting stands. There's nothing better than having your dog bark relentlessly at you. Timmy was in a ditch, was he not? A barn fire?" "Do you need to leave?" "Do you need to get out?" "Lord, is it on fire?" The beeps make me crazy and I can't understand what they mean. You don't know what you mean, and I don't know what these beeps mean. As soon as possible, I intend to contact PDP again and I hope they won't hesitate for three months. If I find out anything, I will let you know. As of right now, this is still a 5 star product.

This is a good buy at the price point, but the most comfortable of the three I tried
3/5

The headsets I previously used to play games were always wired. Since I bought the custom and expensive Xbox One controllers, I went out and bought a wireless headset so that the cord would not get tangled and I wouldn't drop the items. As you can tell from the screenshot, the sound quality is definitely better than I expected I was using a wired headset previously. But I have a main complaint and thus only issue with this device - its comfort level. Therefore I have given the overall score of 4 out of 5. It just doesn't get any better after I give my head time to adjust to the weight and size of the LVL50. During only a few hours, the pressure on my head feels like that of a very strong person pushing inward on it. I also experience significant sweating in my inner ears. Another issue that lowers the score to a 3 is that the USB dongle cannot automatically let go of audio when the headset is not in use, so you have to manually remove it and reinstall it when you are using a different wired headset- an extremely hassle-prone process. Apart from that, the sound quality is excellent, and the battery life is pretty much what it was advertised to be. As a boom microphone, the material probably could also have been made from a different type of material since it almost appears like a hard breath can bend it. We will have to wait and see how this affects long-term use, but I believe it may cause issues as time goes on. I'd say that maybe stepping down to PDP's cheaper unit would alleviate some of the concerns at a lower price point since the expectations wouldn't be as The unit is probably not ideal for another man perhaps a woman with a smaller head and a lower body temperature would find it useful.

It isn't worth the effort
3/5

I received headphones that worked for about one hour after I got them A couple of hours later, he passed away. I plugged it in all night (let me know if others had any recommendations), but it wouldn't hold a charge. I tried contacting customer support and was instructed to file for a warranty claim, but that would have taken more time than just getting them replaced since they were clearly defective. The Amazon website does not offer to replace broken items. I received a refund, and I plan to order another pair of shoes to see if the price goes up!.

There is no comparison between the price and quality of this product
5/5

These are my absolute favorites. My search for gaming headphones like this has lasted years and I finally found one that I like. It's hard for you to imagine how many different pairs I have tried, my latest being a pair of turtle beaches that were cheap. Although I had read a lot of reviews for this pair, I was still somewhat I've been using them for a few months at this point, and they are very comfortable to wear. It's much lighter than other headsets, so you don't even notice you're wearing it. There is a beautiful sound in this song. The games I play most often are Apex Legends and something like Battlefield every once in a while. It is just as easy to hear footsteps with headphones as with any other. I've had trouble with the chat mixer, but otherwise it's been great. I've tended to let them sit down for a minute and they start moving on their own. In terms of gaming, the bass boosted mode works well for movies, but I wouldn't recommend it for movies.
