My original XBox One controller, which came with my console years ago, began to drift to the right, requiring me to physically move the left analog stick in a different direction. I decided to get a new controller because I'd had this one for years and decided on this one. I noticed the same stick drift after only 5 minutes of playing with this controller. The left analog stick shifted slightly to the right. It wasn't as bad as it had been with my old controller, but it still happened frequently and was noticeable. Stick drift is a common problem with these controllers, but it isn't always like this right out of the box. This dissatisfies me and makes me wonder about Microsoft's quality control on these controllers. Any of my four Xbox 360 controllers has never given me trouble. Other ideas: br>br> br>For grip, my original white controller grips have physical grooves. These have a softer, smoother texture to them. I found this controller to be more slick, and I didn't care for the grips at all. br>br>The front face plate's coating isn't completely smooth in some areas. I can feel the coating poking out in places on the handle areas where it wasn't applied properly. During gameplay, it's barely noticeable, but it's not what I'd expect from a first-party controller. Overall, I am dissatisfied with this controller and have returned it. It's not something I'd go out of my way to purchase again.
I had the Dawn Shadow controller, and I loved how the paint finish was a rubberized matte finish because it made the controller feel amazing and kept it from slipping out of my grip. It has a matte finish when you first get it, but it's also more textured than the Dawn Shadow controller, which makes it feel even better! The LED is a grayish color rather than white, so it doesn't compete with the controller's white color, and the back of the controller is also textured. I'd have this one engraved if it were possible. Instead of going through the Xbox Design Lab, you can get one directly from Microsoft. Overall, this is a fantastic controller. I feel compelled to "baby" it because it is by far the best and most well-known of its kind. To this day, it's the best-made Microsoft controller I've ever owned. I would strongly suggest it.
THIS PRODUCT IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR USE. br>br>THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH EVERY CONTROLLER I'VE EVER OWNED. br>br>I've only had it for a week, so there's still time for things to go wrong. br>However, the hair trigger action on this bad boy is really nice. br>It does seem to drain my batteries a little faster, but that's not really an issue unless you don't use rechargeable batteries. br>br>Also a nice touch is the texture on the underside of the controller. br>br>If there are any issues in the near future, I will update this review.
This controller hasn't gotten a lot of attention. It functions exactly as it should. The under grip, however, is slightly different, as it has a rough matte finish rather than the standard semi-gloss finish. The regular black controller has a matte finish. For me, it doesn't make a huge difference, but the slightly increased grip is noticeable. I just happened to like the color scheme, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. br>br>The only snag with this controller is that it can't be used with non-standard inputs. Xbox battery packs are a type of battery that is used to power a video game console I used a BestBuy-purchased Insignia battery pack, and the controller began to vibrate at random throughout the game. (Violently and non-violently at times) (It will come to a halt) by itself. I bought Eneloop Pro rechargeable batteries and haven't turned back since. Perfectly practical and easy to maintain. It should be possible to play for free. The Insignia pack was compatible with my old controller, so that was a no-brainer. Charge and Play: Insignia br>br>Insignia br>br>Insignia br>br>Insignia

Years ago, when the Xbox One 500GB console was first released, I purchased it. When the first genstation controllers were released, this was included. It's all I've used since then. br>The three I had were on their last legs after years of abuse. br>I bought this lovely device, and the difference was incredible. It feels and looks just like the first-generation controllers, and it's just as well-made and durable. Comfort and grip are also aided by the texture. br>It'll take some getting used to now that all of the buttons are white and have their color codes next to them. If I were Microsoft, I wouldn't have done this because even the most seasoned gamers need to look down at the controller every now and then because their brain had a duece and forgot which button was the Y button. br>With the old controllers, you could see it with your peripherals because the buttons were large and brightly colored. That only adds to the difficulty. br>However, this isn't a major disadvantage. br>The main reason I deducted a star was that I was ecstatic to finally have a jack input for any headset instead of having to use the attachment. br>However, even with the volume turned all the way up, I couldn't hear my friends in the parry chat. br>As a result, I had no choice but to reinstall the attachment, which allows me to fine-tune the game and chat volume even further. br>Overall, an excellent purchase.
