I've had mine for almost a year, and while it looks nice and runs smoothly, the headphone jack stopped working after about 2 months, which is obviously important in many team-based games, not to mention the rb button stopped working shortly after, which is also important in 9/10 games, and the paint has been chipping off, revealing the design is just cheaply spray painted on. (By the way, I have the blue chrome) I was extremely dissatisfied with the product, which cost around $90 and was money I'll never get back, and I'll most likely be spending even more money on a new controller to replace this piece of garbage.
After a few days, I received this controller and was instantly smitten. The issue is with customer service; I left a message on the phone asking for them to call me back because "they were too busy," so I could exchange this for a duplicate. The "A" button is half-blocked half of the time, but the rest of the controller performs admirably. Not for the artwork, but for the idea that they "TEST" their products before selling them, I purchased this controller. I'm sorry for leaving a message like this, but you didn't give me a choice, and this isn't the first time I've had an issue with Xbox One controllers. I bought the last two from Microsoft, and both of the left shoulder buttons were broken. I'm getting off track here.
It definitely is a soft grip with a very very smooth texture, and I would purchase another if the website allowed you to customize the image on the soft grip with whatever you want, and I would throw money at that.
We've been having a lot of issues with headsets not working, so we decided to get some new controllers. These not only arrived much sooner than expected, but they are also perfect; now my son can use his headset to play his games, and I don't have to listen to Fortnite all the time - We're all in a good mood at the moment.
While it was in use, it was an excellent controller. The two joystick toggles have become loose after 8 months, resulting in significant control loss. I paid $82 for the controller and an additional $20 for the protection plan. It's still covered by the manufacturer's warranty, but I can't seem to locate anyone who can help me get a replacement. Unless you're looking for a disposable $82 controller, I wouldn't recommend buying from this seller right now. If the seller resolves this issue, I will gladly change my rating.
On the 23rd of May, I placed a purchase order for this controller. On June 3rd, I received my package. The controller appears to be of good quality, and I was pleased at first until I noticed the Y button was broken. It was extremely frustrating to wait nearly two weeks for a controller only to receive one that was broken. I immediately contacted them, and despite the fact that it's only been one day, I'm already annoyed with a useless controller that cost me over $100, and it'll most likely be another two weeks before I get another one that isn't broken. If and when I receive a working controller, I will gladly update this review. UPDATE- I returned the item on 6/8/20 and have yet to receive a response, either in the form of a replacement or a refund. UPDATE- It's now June 24th, and I'm still waiting!.
Okay, I have to admit something. I thought $100 was a bit excessive for a remote control. But, because I'm a big fan of Resident Evil, I decided to buy it and give it a shot. br>As a result, the controller is a genuine Microsoft remote control. The design on the remote is really nice, and I've gotten a lot of compliments on it. To be honest, no one else is going to have the same design on their remote as I do. The design has a smooth feel to it, and the remote works flawlessly with no issues. I'm very pleased with my purchase, so I'd say it's well worth the $100. I'll definitely be purchasing another design in the future.
I haven't yet given the gift to my husband, but based on my brother's response, I'm confident he will enjoy it. I'm not a gamer, but this controller will look great with his black and lime green headset!.
