Plastic flaws are a fact of life. **According to the consensus, As a company, I recommend eXtremeRate, but they fell short on this occasion. TL; TL; TL; TL; TL; TL; TL; TL; TL; TL DR This is going to be a moderately difficult installation. Color accuracy is usually 10/10. Manufacturing flaws in the plastic (non-threaded pilot holes; etc. ) are common. where it seats itself, there are flaws in the plastic; soft- touch shells that have discolored as a result of normal use, and so on. Despite these issues, I would continue to recommend eXtremeRate products because they are the best available. Hopefully, eXtremeRate improves their product, because switching companies will not be difficult once a worthy competitor emerges. More money should be spent on quality control rather than marketing. br>br>**There is a problem with the pilot hole for the d-ring on this shell right now. The pad is either too small or not in the right place. This will necessitate filing down one side of the pilot hole so that the d-shaped d-shaped d-shaped d-shaped d-shaped d-shaped d- pad is going to work. Given that you'll be voiding your controller's warranty, you might want to wait until eXtremeRate confirms that the problem has been resolved before proceeding with this shell. *
br>I really wanted to like this product, but eXtremeRate hasn't lived up to their claims. These items are manufactured in China with little to no quality control during or after production. I've ordered a lot of eXtremeRate products because they seem to be "the best of the worst" in terms of style/color options, whereas their competitors usually lack flavor. When you grip the controller or move it around in your hands, the third-party plastic does not properly seat with the OEM plastic, resulting in a "squeak" effect. Essentially, you're converting your controller into something that looks and feels like a low-cost game controller. Instead of the engineered perfection Microsoft provides, you get a high-quality knock-off controller. br>br>I was not paid to write this review; it is completely objective.
it turned out to be much better than I had anticipated. NOTE: The Sakura Pink color cannot be accurately depicted due to the lighting. The color I received is identical to the color depicted in the seller's photos. br>br>I really need to start reading descriptions or even scrolling through pictures because I was not expecting to have to do this myself. When I saw the screwdriver and prying device, I was VERY hesitant to do it, but I watched the YouTube video provided in the description (yes, I finally looked through the description after I received it) and it worked perfectly. I absolutely adore it. In fact, I believe it is superior to a skin!.
pad, there's a piece of plastic that you could sand down or cut some pieces out of with a knife to repair that part and my controller d- I wish I could personally inform Extremerate about that issue, but I figured I'd at least let someone know how to do so. Overall, I adore my steel grey cover, it looks fantastic and is the perfect fit for me.
The pad is not working. The overall fit is satisfactory, but, as other reviewers have stated, the D-size is too small. The pad hole on the D pad was not designed correctly, so you can't use it in the down direction. It will look unattractive if you sand the area where the hole touches the D pad. br>br>I'm using an Xbox Series S/X controller for this.
pad. This isn't the first time I've received a product from this company that prevents the d- from moving freely. d-pad, as if squeezing the d-pad The click that is characteristic of Xbox Series X/S controllers is absent from the pad and, to a lesser extent, the sides. When this happened the first time, I sanded the bottom and sides of the hole the d- I dismissed it as a fluke because the pad fits into it. It turns out that this wasn't a one-time occurrence, but rather a recurring issue with Extremerate's faceplates. For this reason, I would advise against purchasing Extremerate faceplates, at least for Xbox Series X/S controllers. I like the color, but I'm not interested in learning the d- It will have a negative impact on the pad's functionality.
Disassembling the controller may take some effort and may involve breaking off a plastic snap or two from the grips, but even after losing a snap from one of the grips, it popped right back in securely after tightening everything together, boom done.
To get the d-, as with a lot of the other reviews, You'll need to lightly sand/file the paint coating around the d-pad to fully "click" in the downward position. area of the socket pad It's just thick enough to prevent the downward click from being activated. When you've done that, it'll click normally. My sanding left no visible marks around the socket where I had to sand it. Overall, I'm happy with how it looks and how soft the finish is.
One of them came in a different package, was missing screws, and the tool for disassembling the controller was severely mangled, as if it had been used previously. br>br>If you don't mind sanding down the finish to get full functionality out of the d-ring, the fit is good. pad.
