Just like a new video game controller, it feels like I have gotten a brand new one. I LOVED how simple it was! All the items you need are included in the package *) Thanks TOMSIN for such a great experience, great work! I am very happy with this product!.
Used to have a limited edition controller. The sticks started to degrade after a year of use. I was able to continue enjoying the broken in mechanics of both the sticks under the controller and the controller itself as opposed to buying a new controller simply because I had played out my sticks.
I have attached a couple of photos showing one new replacement thumbstick from TOMSIN on top and one used thumbstick on the bottom. I am not even sure if they do not produce OEM products. In light of the fact they are used both in PlayStation and Xbox, I'm willing to bet there is a common supplier, and thus they cannot be called an OEM, since neither company owns them. Also, I did not realize how worn out the rubber gets and how it affects your aim until I switched them out from time to time. This kit comes with everything you need to swap out these and can save you When it comes to the controller, it's as though it's designed for easy repair, so even an untrained person can do it I am able to do so because I am mechanically inclined. careful as the prybar is very sharp and can gouge a chunk of skin off a finger in a hurry (ask me how I know) so just be careful and make sure you don't lose any screws, and you will be okay.
Buying a new controller when you just need to replace the thumbsticks is far better than buying a new one when the thumbsticks are not working. There were two problems for me, the two soft plastic wedges were useless and the wedge piece was not sturdy. Additionally, the thumbsticks do not feel as good as they did in the original. Original thumbsticks had rubberized edges, but the ones on the originals had ribbed edges. The only difference here is that these are plastic, so they feel cheaper and don't feel as nice on the finger as metal. I definitely recommend them. They work, and I would definitely recommend them. $8 is not a bad deal. The price of 50 is better than the price of 40.
tools included in the kit were essential, but of a low quality to only facilitate the replacement of thumb sticks in two Even if the "disposable" tools don't last, having them on hand makes things easier. The PS4 controller was challenging to break apart due to its age and fragility. TIP Leave the PS4 controller in the cabinet overnight to prevent it from deteriorating. You should have some alcohol wipes and maybe a can of compressed air handy to clean out the dirt inside the controller while it's apart. I was shocked how dirty it was inside and it was well worth the time and effort to clean it while it's apart. After everything is said and done, I am very impressed with the product, the quality, and the fact that it works exactly like It is possible that I would buy again if I had to, but I believe the new thumb sticks will be more durable.
These are the sticks I bought for my multiple DS4/PS4 controllers, as I prefer these over the convex mushroom dome style of the DS4 PS controllers. Over the years, I've bought them mostly on eBay, and their quality has varied greatly. If they are low quality, the sticks tend to wear out much faster, and the most obvious sign of this is a very visible seam on either side of the sticks edge. Although I assumed these would work in my DualSense5 controller since I'd used them with DualShock4 controllers in the past, I'd been mistaken. two sticks seem alike at first glance (at least at first glance), but in our experience, they are quite different. Because of this, the dome at the base of DualSense5 sticks scrubs and sometimes catches, which renders them inoperative. The DS4 controller replacements will get kept for DS5 controller replacements, but I do have to admit I'm disappointed that these great r sticks weren't compatible with DS5.
These sticks do not have a rubber coating. There are mountains of lies behind all of it. This rubber coating does not even come close to the original. Hard plastic is basically all it is, and the only thing that gives you a grip is the concave form. I think my nearly worn out X is worse Those sticks are covered with a rubbery covering whereas box sticks are not An abrasive material used for There is something lame about these things, so I will likely just return them via Google Play.
It would have been nice to spend $60 for a new controller, but I wanted to check if I could take the cheap route out and I also wanted to try something like a project. Actually, it wasn't that much of a project it was relatively easy to resolve. There are all the tools and resources you need right in the package. It's enough to fix it again because they give you the buttons. My PS4 controller's back was secured by four screws, so I simply unscrewed them. I used the included tool to pry the controller open. Next I unscrewed one more screw from the circuit board. I removed the old analog buttons and then installed the new ones. They were slightly turned so that I could push them all the way in. My own expertise does not include repairs of electrical things and I was slightly expecting a big fail, but it turned out to be a fast and easy process. It is important to be careful not to disconnect any wires, as long as you don't manhandle it you should be ok. I like that the new analog buttons are not smooth like the originals, they actually have a gritty feel that makes them more comfortable to hold.
