It worked exactly as it should have. Note I must make one caveat. There is enough play when the buttons are snapped into place that the assembly can be tipped slightly forward, preventing the buttons from working properly. Make sure, when soldering them in place, that the rear two legs are fully inserted into the circuit board.
An aftermarket Xbox controller I had failed to operate as it should. Desoldering my old button and replacing it with this one was my task. Previously, the button had only 3 pins, but the new button has 4. Replacing the old button with this one caused it to stick out a couple of millimeters further than the old one did. As a result, the button was not able to move once the controller was assembled again. The AC adapter may work with your Xbox controller if you order it for a real Xbox controller. If your Xbox controller only has 2 ports, the adapter may not work.
The stamping on the back in the shots is the same as that on the OE switch. Obviously, these do not comply with OE requirements and should not be ordered by the controller. Their functionality is fine, but their toggles work differently than the OEM version. You will notice that the tactile feel is different when only replacing one side. It would be better to replace both at the same time, however they will feel different and will not be as good as the original.

Using a model 1537 Xbox One controller shoulder button, I succeeded in replacing it. As well, I tested the same on an Xbox One controller model1697, and found the head of the button was too thick, so the bumper constantly held it down. We ordered these to replace one of the bumper tact switches on our XBox One model 1537 It took a few minutes to replace the part, and now the controller is also working.
This is a very good switch, they do their job well. Clicking them feels a little cheap, but you won't mind that as long as you're not bothered by that.
