Wii System Lighting Stand with Cooling Fan

I purchased this product in order to lighten the load on my computer. I understand that even though it has a fan, heat will still accumulate. My reasoning was that I could extend the life of the machine by turning on a fan from the start to keep it cool. The light does not bother me; in fact, it is quite pleasant.

It's still functional after a week of regular use. It makes a small sound that you can only hear when you're close to it. Would suggest that you can turn off the led and it will continue to work, as well as a fan.

Even with its low processing power, the Wii generates heat and will eventually become damaged if used frequently. After four years, I lost mine and took care of my console: I never put it on a shelf, blew it out, or anything like that because the stock fan simply does not move the heat as well as it should. This stand emits a bright, sleek blue light while pushing up more cold air from the bottom. It appeals to me greatly. BUT, if you're familiar with computers, you'll notice that as more air is drawn in, more must be drawn out. I use this guy in conjunction with Nyko's back mounted fan, and it does an excellent job of keeping the Wii room cool after six hours of gaming.

br>br>Normally, the Wii doesn't require an additional fan unless it's in stand-by mode with Wii-motes. Connect24 has been activated. The reason for this is that the fan isn't working in this mode, and even though it doesn't use a lot of power, it can get quite hot after a while. br>br>With this cooler, I can leave the Wii in stand-by mode all day and come home without fear of burning my hand. br>br>The stand looks great at night, and there's a switch to turn the fan and leds on and off. Do you want to turn off the fan and play? It is possible for you to succeed. With Wii Connect24 enabled, you can turn it off when you're not at home. It is possible for you to do so as well. br>br>When I'm not playing, I prefer to turn on the fan, and with the Wii-mote, it's even better. Connect24 is turned on. When I'm playing at night, I only use the leds. The only thing you won't be able to do is turn around. While the fan is running, turn off the lights. oh well. br>br>Overall, I'm pleased with this product and would recommend it.
