It worked well for the first 5 or 10 minutes, but then it became extremely loud
3/5

Never again will I use this service. I took out the package and opened it. I connected it to the power source. It was fine for the first 5 or 10 minutes, but then it became unbearably loud. It's louder than the television in my living room. It's been unplugged, and I'm not planning on using it again. This one, like every other clip-on USB cooler for every other console, uses cheap fans that quickly become so loud that you have to turn up the volume on your television just to hear it over the usb cooler. These USB coolers are TOTAL GARBAGE in the eyes of a hardcore gamer! When I turned on the Wii USB cooler, I was surprised at how quiet it was. I was even more surprised and angry at how quickly it got really loud. I didn't even give it a chance to charge for ten minutes before unplugging it. Because there is a freeway behind my house and no sound barriers, I have to turn up the volume on my television. Furthermore, the wii usb cooler was louder than my television.

Yes, it is effective
4/5

To begin, I'll point out that the Wii doesn't normally require a cooling fan because it already has one built in. My Wii's cooling fan had stopped working, so I bought this to replace it. If you're in that situation and don't want to risk damaging your Wii by opening it to repair it, this is the next best thing. It does a good job of moving air around. It's a little noisy, but if it's across the room from you, you won't notice. When you turn off the Wii, it turns off; however, if you just put the Wii in standby mode, it does not turn off. You must turn the Wii off completely until the power light turns red or turns off completely. A switch on the back of the fan, however, can be used to turn it off. This, however, is not a deal-breaker. br>br>Form factor is a hit-or-miss proposition. It connects to both USB ports on the Wii's back, but also has two USB ports, allowing you to connect other devices. Because of the double connections, it is firmly attached to the back and will not easily come off. It has a molded back that fits over the Wii's vent grating. It also doesn't protrude from any of the sides. The only drawback is that its shell extends a little too far down, which may prevent some third-party video adapters, such as an HDMI adapter, from being connected. To get both to fit snugly, I had to shave a small amount of plastic off the bottom. If you're not going to use the standard video cords with your Wii, keep that in mind. br>br>Aside from the size and inability to shut down without manually turning off the Wii or the fan, and the fact that you don't really need it unless the Wii's original cooling fan breaks down, it does what it's supposed to, and that's all I ask.

So far, it has performed admirably. It's fine/good to use. When the Wii gets too hot, I use fans to keep it cool. My older one got lost in the shuffle. Huh. Around here, things go missing on a regular basis. Things go missing all the time or are replaced with different versions. But I suppose that's more of my concern than yours. Any'HootnandHollerin. . . or something like that. JKJKJK, thank you for the break.

External Fan is fantastic
5/5

This thing looked cheap, so I bought it as a last-ditch effort to save my Wii. It turns out to be truly fantastic, allowing me to play my Wii without it overheating and shutting down. If your Wii's internal fan isn't working, this is a 10/10 product.

My Wii would overheat and shut down, so this worked perfectly for me
5/5

My Wii would overheat and shut down, but I've had this fan running for over 6 hours and it hasn't shut down. Even if you haven't yet encountered the issue, I recommend that you do so.

I bought this because the one I had was noisy, and this one is VERY loud, and it sounds like five computer fans are running at the same time
3/5

It sounds like five computer fans are spinning at the same time, which isn't good.
