Regardless of how old your controllers are, you can simply plug in the battery pack just like normal batteries, but you may have to remove the Wii Motion Sensor Plus if you have that, but I have the first generation Wii and controllers and I have no issues with it.
The battery can be put in just like any other battery. However, you do not need to buy this if you want to put in regular AAs. If you don't have this item, then regular batteries will work with the Wii remote. It also stopped working after 2 months, so it was a waste of money.
There is still power in the batteries.
There are no restrictions on the type of Wii Remote it works with. It's the model I'm using at the moment.

Finally, I went to pull out my old Wii and found that the old chargers no longer worked. I can now play old games I haven't played in a long time since I use these chargers which cradle and charge my phone perfectly.
It is very easy to put the batteries In the near future, I will be sure to update this review if anything changes regarding charge life.
A ring of color can still be seen around the wand when it's in the charging cradle, red when it's in need of a charge, purple when As soon as it is full, the water becomes blue. My hand is prone to "butter fingers" and I've knocked it a couple of times while trying to pick up the wands, and I even got a scratch from the linoleum rubbing across it.
I can use the battery packs with my old original Wii remote and they charge quickly. The seller and item are both highly recommended and I am very satisfied with my purchase.
For the original controllers to work on the original WII console, the charger and batteries make up the full package.
This is a small device that does what it needs to. There is only one problem - on the occasions when both remotes are low on battery, one of the charging ports may divert power to the other, so not both remotes are charged at the same time.
