Selected User Reviews For Skywin Playstation VR Charging Stand - PSVR Charging Stand to Showcase, Display, and Charge Your PS4 VR (PS4 Controller)
When I purchased this a month ago, I ignored all of the one-star reviews claiming that the charging station would break within a month. Well, one month has passed, and all I've had for the past 24 hours are red blinking lights, as well as my PS4 controllers disconnecting at random intervals. About 5 minutes. So I'm hoping the charging station didn't wreak havoc on my controllers due to a voltage issue.
I bought it primarily to charge the controllers because I purchased them used at GameStop and was not informed that I would require an additional cord. I left the motion controllers on the dock all night and the light is green, but my son played with them for less than 5 minutes and they died. I'm not sure if this is happening to anyone else or if I'm doing something incorrectly, but it's driving me crazy.
I was able to find a charging stand that met my requirements. It makes it possible for the VR headset to rest comfortably without being strained. There are charging indicators that indicate when it is charging (blinking red) and when it is fully charged (green). Two move controllers (of any generation) and two dual shocks can be charged at the same time. Adapters (2) are included that plug into the DualShocks' micro USB port and allow you to drop them into charging cradles without having to align a USB plug. The adapters also include a micro USB passthrough port, allowing you to charge and play at the same time if necessary. I was intrigued by the power adapter. There are two of them. A1 and A1. 0 A ports are available. The second is what I use. 1 A is required to connect to the stand (which is powered via micro USB) and to use the 1. To keep my AIM controller charged, I put it in the 0 slot. br>br>Overall, I think this is a fantastic stand for keeping everything charged and a PSVR headset "stored" or nicely displayed. It is of reasonable quality. The headset stand must be snapped into the charging base. In terms of enhancements, the only thing that comes to mind is providing some sort of headset cable management system.
This turned out to be a lot better than I anticipated. While charging, the front indicator lights flash red, and the battery charges quickly. The plug itself has a second USB port that can be used with another USB cord. The charger cable is a good length and is made of hard plastic. It comes in two pieces for easy assembly. The only issue is that the headset's stand does not mount or lock into place. Instead, it sits on top, which means that if any curious animals or children pull on the headset's cable, it may fall. br>br>Edited on November 2nd, 2019: While on the base, the left-hand Move controller (slot 3) has ceased to charge. Because I used the 1. , I initially assumed it was the plug itself. The two-port plug has a 5A port. I switched since then, but the move controller is still not charging. Being a display stand for the set is still fun. I'm a little fortunate in that I have a lot of Micro USB charging cables on hand.
Edit: I've been having problems for a long time. I bought this about four months ago, and it no longer works. I'm sorry I squandered my money on it. It has never been able to charge both move controllers and two regular controllers at the same time, even when we first got it, and now it won't even charge the regular controllers. I would never buy this product again. br>br>It's neat and compact, which makes it easier to keep everything organized. I really like how simple the design is. For our virtual reality headset, this is the ideal small charger and display stand!.
This stand is ideal for storing my new PlayStation VR, motion controllers, and dual shock controllers. I was waiting for my new Iron Man VR to arrive on July 3rd to write my review, and I'm happy to report that all four devices (motion controls and dual shocks) charge very well using one of the front USB ports on the PS4 console, leaving the other for VR wiring and other stuff. I've read numerous reviews claiming that this station stops charging some devices after a few months. I sincerely hope this is not the case with me, but if it is, the seller has already contacted me and offered to help if necessary. So, we'll have to wait and see. All I have to say about my purchase today is that I am very pleased with it. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> It's only been two weeks, and the station has stopped charging my controllers (in my video, red blinking lights without green in the pattern indicate a station problem). I contacted the seller in the hopes of receiving a replacement. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> My replacement arrived two days ago, and my new station is functioning as expected (photos show all four green non-blinking lights when all controllers are charged, and the next photo shows how the lights appear when one controller is missing but the other three are charged). As a result, my rating has been updated to four stars. Hopefully, it will continue to be that way as long as my new station is operational. So far, Amazon's and the seller's responses have been excellent, and I am grateful for that.
One of the controller ports is not working. I've tried everything, but it's been a huge letdown.
This was a gift for my boyfriend, and it turned out to be even better than I had hoped. The plastic is of high quality and is quite sturdy. It appears to be of good quality and does not appear to be cheap. It was incredibly simple to assemble, requiring only two pieces. It comes with two small charging adapter pieces for your wireless controllers, and the wands can be charged by plugging them directly into the unit. It also comes with a USB cable, but it's a little short, so we used the one that came with the PS4. The indicator lights are simple to understand and add another layer of complexity that makes it feel like it should have cost more. Overall, it is exactly what he required and performs admirably.
