It's probably a good idea to hide everything behind it. Console shelves irritate me greatly. They've become the de facto storage location for every wire, controller, remote, and random electronic accessory I've accumulated over the last six years. That stuff isn't necessary for me. This is something I never do. However, I feel compelled to keep ten one-foot Ethernet cables on hand for some reason. br>br>I've decided to keep these items because I've always had a home for them in my living room's massive console/tv stand. It takes up a lot of room, collects a lot of dust, and is home to years' worth of wacky wires and controllers. For the past four years, I haven't owned a PlayStation 3. There are three PS3 controllers in there. And, for some reason, a random VGA cable, as well as some speaker cable and a slew of other items that I *might* need but never do. br>br>So I bit the bullet and decided I wasn't going to keep any of it when I got my new TV. It was a lot easier to make the switch with a hide-it mount. It not only prevents me from engaging in my electronic packrat behavior, but it also means that my living room is far less cluttered. It appeals to me. For the Switch and the XB1, I'm definitely getting one of these. On my wall is a 60-inch television. It has a lot of room behind it. Why not put it to good use? br>br>In addition, instead of six cords, I only have one going up to my TV. To make it work, I installed a nice power brick back there. The images do not depict how the final product will appear. I'm thinking of ways to make it even more efficient, but for now, it's nice to have everything in one place. br>br>I can't believe I didn't think of looking these things up sooner. I remember seeing those ridiculous commercials where a flat screen is mounted on a wall (above a fireplace, no less) with no cords or other accessories. I understand why they advertise it in this manner; it appears to be cool, simple, and modern. But I've always thought it was absurd because I have so many consoles that I use on a regular basis. I was ecstatic to discover that mounting kits were available for these items. br>br>Additional information - My cat no longer tries to sit on my PS4 while I'm playing it. When I shoo her away, I unintentionally eject the game. It's been an hour since I last saved. That's all there is to it.
Early in the morning, I sent an email. My pieces were shipped with all of the screws in a matter of hours. br>br>My husband bought a huge TV, one that takes up the entire wall. So I reasoned, why not use it to conceal everything? Nothing is visible to me! There will be no accidental activation of the PS4 or misplacing of the controllers. And, oh no, I placed them too high; I guess the kids won't be able to grab them at any time now! br>br>My husband decided to test the strength by pulling on the PS4 while it was still attached to the wall to "see if it would come off. " It didn't, and I was worried the console would break before it came off the wall. It doesn't get any hotter than it normally would. Because the newer televisions do not emit as much heat as our old ones did, I would make sure that your television does not overheat your console if you plan to place it behind the television. The controllers are also able to be placed behind the television. Make sure you leave enough space for them to move around without being bumped. I'm sorry I didn't put them next to the console for easier charging, but we play frequently enough that we can charge them while we're playing. br>br>Overall, I am very pleased with the customer service, design, and strength of the product, and I would recommend it.
For our kids' game room, we went all out and bought almost every piece HIDEit has to offer. These wall mounts are a big hit with us. We discovered that the HIDEit general boxes, both small and large, are ideal for concealing surge protectors and other junction boxes. We made the blunder of ordering an Xbox One X instead of an Xbox One S. Because I was unaware that our children's Xbox ONE was neither, we used the S HIDEit mount. Learn from our mistake; the larger older Xbox ONES require the HIDEit larger mounts for larger items. I recommend getting the sets with the remote control holders because the PlayStation 4 mount is fantastic. We'd like to see more HIDEit products to mount other gaming-related accessories.
The use of remote mounts is acceptable. This is the Mount that you should purchase! The PS4 Slim mount is fantastic and extremely slim. It comfortably secured the PlayStation, so I'm confident there will be no problems unless a child tries to pull it off. It has a lot of advantages. The remote mounts, on the other hand, aren't designed to fit the remote specifically, so they don't sit securely in the mount. The remote controls are easily removable. However, I can't for the life of me figure out why they didn't include black screws to match the mounts. When I thought about it, I almost gave it three stars. It's a fantastic mount, so go ahead and buy it.
Hardware aplenty – Installing it was a breeze. Installing it is a breeze. position. The kit includes enough hardware to securely mount your PS4 Slim (or PS4 Pro if you purchase the pro model) as well as up to two controllers. I haven't bought the pro model yet, but it's on my wish list. br>br>We recently moved, and I chose to have my TV mounted above the fireplace, eliminating the need for a TV stand. With the TV mounted, I positioned my PS4 Slim behind the mounted TV, completely hidden. To give it a nice "gaming" look, I mounted the controllers just to the left of the TV, out of sight. br>br>The price is a little higher than other mounts, but after seeing how well the kit is put together and how well the mount is built, the extra couple of dollars are well worth it.
It's not at all safe. Because the bracket doesn't hug the sides, if you mount your PS4 with the front facing right and the mounting screw on the top, the PS4 dangles from the screw. It doesn't dangle if you turn it to the left (as shown in the product image) with the screw on the bottom, but it still wobbles a lot. Although it has a good build quality, it is still overpriced. I just don't have faith in this $10 wall mount (which normally costs $30-$50). For $40, I was able to dangle my $300 PlayStation 4 several feet above the ground.
