This is absolutely gorgeous! I love it! Silver buttons and sticks were included as part of the purchase of the front and back shells. An issue developed with the shell on the front. One of the posts was broken during manufacturing, so the front and back piece of the console didn't fit together, along with the thumb stick hole on the right side. It now fits and functions perfectly, thanks to my fiance's work on cutting down the post and sanding down the edge that was sticking up on the thumb stick hole.

Comparatively to the front shell, it was really easy to put on, as all you have to do is take off the R1/L1 buttons, then this lower piece and four screws, and you're done. Super tight hold and does not seem to wear out at all, thanks to the gorilla grip.

My hand feels great on the ring, the texture isn't too rough, but you can feel the presence of it. It has a shiny black finish, so fingerprints are sure to stick to it. As far as the end product goes, I'm happy. If you decide to change your controller shell, I'm ok with it. Since there are so many cables used in this controller and how easy it is to rip them, it is highly recommended to watch multiple disassemblies of it before starting out.
