PS4 Controller Charger, DOBE Controller Charging Dock Station with LED Light Indicators Compatible with PS4/PS4 Slim/PS4 Pro Controller

This charger does a good job, but getting the controllers in and charging can be a little tricky. I also had a few issues with it not charging while the PS4 was turned off, but the most serious issue I encountered occurred after about three weeks of use, when I had to relocate the charger while rearranging my console setup. I unplugged the power cable from the charger's back, and when I went to plug it back in, something snapped, and the charger no longer works. Because I'm a tinker, I disassembled it and discovered that the solder joints for the mini USB connector had come undone. I attempted to resolder the connector but was unable to align everything properly and hold the solder and iron in place - Simply put, there aren't enough. As a result, I cut the connector's wires and completely removed it. Then I snipped the end off an old USB cable and soldered the positive and negative wires to the charger's corresponding wires. So it's working again, and it's doing a good job charging. Your mileage may vary, but I don't believe this is a great deal for the amount of time it lasted. I would not have been a juror if I hadn't been It would be trash if you rigged a repair. As a result, I am not recommending it.

This thing has been in my possession for months and has yet to fail me. There have only been two issues, both of which are so minor that I can't bring myself to give it a lower rating - especially because it's a fantastic peripheral. 1. br>br> Under the front screen, one of the seals had come loose. I just shook it a little to get it out of the way because it didn't affect functionality. It no longer appears to be a problem, and no one else has commented on it. It didn't change anything, so it wasn't all that significant. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br It somehow leaked a teeny-tiny bit of liquid. When I moved it a month ago, the underside was damp. I believe it is a lubricant. Regardless of the end goal - because it did not dry It just appeared after I moved it one day, and I had no idea where it came from or that it was leaking. br>br>In any case, this is a fantastic addition. Before rating it down, those who are calling it crap should consider getting a Prime membership and trying to trade goods. I tried three different keyboard attachments before concluding that the device was defective. This charging dock, on the other hand, works, looks great while doing so, and performs admirably.

Although the product performs as expected and serves as an excellent dual charging station, it is not without flaws. Advantages: br>br>
- It's ideal for charging two controllers at the same timebr>- This is a nice stand for storing controllers. br>- Pros: Slim and streamlined designbr>br>Cons:
- The order of the charging indicators on the front is incorrect. IE: When I charge the back controllers, the front light turns on. (This is backwards)br>I would recommend having no light on when there is no controller, a red light when it is charging, and a green light when it is complete.
- I have to unplug it to sleep at night because the charging indicator lights are WAY too bright.
- When plugged in, the controller is a little too tight, and removing it from the dock requires two hands. br>br>I believe this has the potential to be a fantastic product. I strongly advise you to purchase this item, but be aware of the disadvantages.

The USB on the bottom is far easier to align than the USB on the top. I've only had it for two weeks, but it's fantastic. It's so much more convenient to charge from the bottom of the controller rather than the top. We have two USB port charging stands, and the result has been PS4 controllers with completely torn and scratched areas around the USB ports due to the children and even myself trying to line them up properly on occasion. br>br>It's much easier to simply line up the controller and gently slide the charger into the holes on this charger. The only caution I would give is that when removing the controller from the dock, you may be tempted to pull it forward to remove it from the dock, as you do with the USB charging ones, but this will pull directly against how they are plugged in. Instead, when removing them, lift up and away from yourself.

With the two previous PS4s I owned, I had two Power A chargers, so I wanted to try something different this time. When charging, this charger performs as expected, and the controllers are secure. You don't have to worry about scratching your controllers because it doesn't grab them like some other docks do. br>br>I think the light overlay is really cool, and it's a big selling point for this model, but I didn't like how the charging lights matched up to the cradles (top light is first, bottom light is second), but it was a simple 5 minute fix with my basic soldering skills. br>br>The USB charging cable is quite short because it was designed to be used with the PS4's USB port, so if you're using wall power, you'll need to buy a longer one or use an extension cable. Also, keep the unit steady while removing a controller, as I mentioned earlier. There are two pieces of metal screwed inside to make it heavier, but given how well the rubber feet keep it in place, I think I'll add some more weight just in case it gets knocked into. br>br>Any flaws I mentioned were more of a matter of personal taste or circumstance, so I didn't dock any points for them.

Only by doing so was it possible for me to keep my controllers charged so that I could continue to use my PSVR, which requires these PS4 controllers due to the light sensor and motion tracking. These go on top of the charge base, and depending on the charge, they will light up red or green. After a few hours, they will turn green, indicating that they are fully charged. The power cord connecting this unit is just as flimsy and unreliable as the PS4 connector, so it only gets three stars. The person who created the mini HMDI USB port should return to design school.
