As per the item picture as well as many of the questions and answers on this listing, it appears to be the older model that is not cordless.
It is noted in the product description however that this is the most recent version. There is inconsistency and misrepresentation in this item listing. In a few days, you will receive the updated model Purchasing this item will lead to disappointment if you were hoping to receive the PS4 model pictured, which connects directly to the console.

There are no plugs on the front of the PS4, but there is a cord connecting it to the in-game console. My order was shipped with the wrong item.

There is a difference between the item pictured and the actual item. Using the pictured item, you can plug your PS4 directly into it. There is a USB cable included in the item sent.

My phone is charged with a Sony cradle. I bought one of the worst products I've ever purchased. A few of the controller's contacts won't meet up with those on the charging port, but the product is not actually designed that way. The charging never seemed to be consistent.

My phone charges so much faster with this dock! enjoy watching movies and shows on my PS4 so much that I use the remote whenever I need to and set it on the charger when it is not in use. It has a very neat appearance and is very efficient with space.
