For at least ten years, I've had all of my televisions mounted, and I've always been pleased with Hideit component mounts. When we finished my son's room above the garage and needed a way to mount his Wii U, I looked through my old Hideit Mounts and couldn't find one that fit, so I assumed I'd have to buy another. This mount caught my eye and I decided to order it because it was universal and inexpensive. I have a $100 worth of Hideit mounts that I'm unlikely to use again, which is a pain. This mount works well, and the Velcro straps make it easier to remove the Wii for trips. I only used one of the drywall screws (two or four would have been excessive) and it's holding up well. The layout is well-planned and logical. I'm not concerned about heat because it likely has better airflow than sitting at a table. Some of the newer Hideits do a better job of concealing the mount part, but they are only designed for one component and cannot be reused, which is something I wanted to avoid. I'm very pleased with this mount, and the design is fantastic.

I'm not a handyman, but I didn't want to pay someone to hang my Xbox on the wall for me. I couldn't use command strips, so I went to Amazon to see what I could find. I chose this product after reading reviews on a variety of others. It was simple to put together, requiring only a leveler and a screwdriver. The price was very appealing, as was the fact that all I had to do to switch from my Xbox One to another console was undo the straps and reattach them to the new console (no drilling, screwing, etc. ). I would highly recommend!.

Don't order if you're going to use it on a PS5. The length of the straps is insufficient.

First and foremost, throw away the drywall anchors when you receive this mount because they are useless. Second, if you plan to install more things in the wall and in general, purchase an impact driver/cordless drill combo. br>br>For the casual DIYer, I'd recommend Ryobi for the price, but if you're serious about building things, Milwaukee is the way to go (I personally buy Ryobi and Metabo HPT power tools because I don't need to pay the premium for Milwaukee to do what I need to do around the house). br>br>Installation is a breeze if you use proper drywall anchors or drive screws into a stud. EZ Anchor drywall and stud anchors (rated for 50 lbs) are a good choice. The drywall anchors should not be driven in with a screwdriver, as stated on the package. I've successfully driven a number of these drywall anchors with an impact driver, despite the fact that I despise Philips screws, whether they come with the EZ Anchor kit or not. With the appropriate impact driver bit, I use Spax star screws or GRK (available at the orange big box stores). Star screws eliminate cam out, slippage, and stripping of the screw head when driven with an impact driver. Granted, removing the drywall anchor will leave a large hole, but this isn't a problem as long as you know how to patch drywall. br>br>Invest in two different types of stud finders: One is magnetic (Hansen is my favorite), while the other is electronic (Franklin is my favorite). The magnetic one will find the drywall screws in the wall (you don't want to drill into a screw head) and the electronic one will find the edges of the stud so you can center the screw hole when drilling into studs. br>br>For this mount, I have one end (of the "T") into a stud with a 2 1/2 star screw and the other end (of the "T") using a drywall anchor with a 1 1/2 star screw so I know this mount will I'm using 3M strips for the Xbox power supply and external HD. Because controllers are lightweight, the controller mounts are drilled into the drywall with plastic anchors (no drywall/stud anchors are required).

This is fantastic. Super cheap, but feels more durable than the metal one I bought for my PS4. The main image for this product makes it appear cheap and unattractive, but it appears to be much better in person. Yes, it's Velcro straps, but they blend in nicely with the black of my Xbox and keep it firmly against the wall.
