Ear Force DSS 7.1 Channel Dolby Surround Sound Processor

My search for simulated surround sound back in the glory days of Aureal3D led me to a number of digital processing devices with support for the various audio formats available. You can boost the bass on this one and it works quite well. I can place it nearly six feet from the ground because the cord length is sufficient. The heavy dc power converters have also gotten on my nerves over the years as well as banana plugs. The device hangs without having to be pulled from the entertainment shelving where it is sitting. The surround sound on my first unit was great, but the left and right channels were inverted. You can find better surround sound out there, but it's a risky hunt as my first device featured great surround sound. Due to the rising interest in wireless devices, it is becoming more and more difficult to find headphones with virtual surround sound. Whatever I can get for a reasonable price is what I'm going to take.
